it’s the way he communicates. some people speak directly. some indirectly. some talk in circles. my wife is an indirect communicator while i am a direct one. sometimes it causes communication issues for us. if your communication style doesn’t line up with his that isn’t “lawyer talk” that’s him talking in circles because that’s how he communicates. my sister does this. she dropped out of college and no degree.
I don’t think it is an option - have you been able to get a refund on this basis? Or even heard of anyone who did?
Love you name/class combo.
Thanks!
(seems a little on the nose now given the current situation lol)
That’s not true. We want to see the story in the game as well. It’s an RPG. Many play for this reason.
The problem is, you need a story first, game play second. You need a compelling villain, some story element for a raid to be good. Like you had with ICC.
If you put those things second and you have to make it work, it won’t go well. Example WoD “Draenor is free”.
It’s not really a secret the game has it’s problems and yes Ghostcrawler did indeed choose the wrong way. Even though, like I said, some of the mechanics he did might have been good.
I know people who got refunds in WoD for cancelled content. So yes.
Well, I don’t know what to tell you. The vast majority of forum posters here understood it the way I did.
It’s reasonable to infer from “For the initial release of SL” that more will come in other releases/patches. Otherwise, why even choose those words in particular? Why say “For the initial release of SL” when in reality they meant “Only these will be available in SL”?
exactly , and from memory in a interview with a gameng site or mag they actually said that it may not be this expansion .
It was the same with the MoP( I think ) beta access with teh yearly sub you bought. People somehow read into that that they would get beta access as soon as it opened , not at some point in Beta. Wording somehow means different things to different people
That’s just wrong. They said they will be adding more in the future.
The problem here is they asked for feedback and they will be adding more options. Now they don’t even have any plans at all. Nothing.
I really don’t get the view people who think like you.
Also: The art team doesn’t work on mechanics.
lol, that is what 6 plus years ago and cancelled content and you reading something into things are two different stories.
I got a refund for an expansion that I used a boost on as well around then but they don’t do that anymore probably because they locked a character that I boosted from 60 to max level and I threw a fit about that because they basically stole those first 60 lvls from me.
“Increasing customization through the expansion” is not the same as “Every patch will have significant increases in customization”
It was pretty bluntly stated. You lacking reading comprehension doesn’t change the fact that they lacked follow through.
Idk what time had to do with anything.
They still refund and lock boosted characters. I’ve seen it happen.
No. It’s not. I would’ve even be happy to wait until 9.2. Except at blizzcon they just said there will be NO new customization for the REST of shadowlands.
Nonsense. Absolute nonsense.
Raids last one patch. Mounts are one in like 400 and most people who get a mount that’s widely available never use it because they like showing off rare mounts or mounts they just earned or bought from the store. Mounts are something 95% of the time that while potentially having continuing value (more-so than raids) in practice mostly don’t because of the sheer numbers of them and the player tendency to select for either the newest earned mount they’re proud of or some old favorite. I doubt most people have more than 6 mounts on their bars if even that.
Character customization is something always with you, indoors, outdoors, just as players like having tons of transmog options, they’d like to have tons of character options. All players won’t use all customizations but it gives the player the option to play as the kind of character they want. Customizations made available today will be providing value for players and a draw to new players in 5 years, in 10 years if WoW is still around. You cannot say that about just about any other game asset. People love customizations, they pay big money on loot boxes in a variety of games just for the chance of a different skin for their weapon. The objective, hard financial and psychological facts of the gaming industry say you are 100% incorrect.
Character customizations provide one of the best values especially when considering how few WoW as a game has compared to other games (WoW’s character customization is still downright pathetic compared to games many years older than it, some of it is down to the engine, but it’s also choices not to give players more choices). There probably are diminishing returns past a certain point but you’re probably talking several dozen customizations for each attribute before you reach the point of overwhelming the player and additions not feeling meaningful anymore.
It is, and it is obvious why.
Don’t care
Link or didn’t happened.
policies change over time and go and get your refund - I hope they give it to you because the game would be better off without people who make this kind of fuss over something so minor.
I will go and like it just because now.
Here is your link
Why am I not shocked. Blizz has a history of making empty promises. This is yet another one to add to the pile. I honestly hope the backlash from this causes them to pull a 180 again like with flight in WoD. The only thing they seem to understand these days is sub numbers.
So I get customization is your hot button, but were the increased customizations not added at the start of SL?
Just a little confused on what people are expecting/heard was happening. If anyone has links to what was promised by all means link them, but as far as I know we got the customizations promised, which included tattoos/hairstyles/eyecolors/skin tones/body reworks.
Why the hell do people play role-playing games, then completely crap all over the concept of role-playing in said role-playing game?
