No masterloot please

“You’re wrong because I said so” is not a good counterargument

Lets flip that. When the game flipped to PL only, did the raiding population explode in terms of participation?

Then don’t ask me questions, if you can’t be bothered to hear/read the answer.

Oh the irony

Can’t come up with a counter-point, ATTACK THE OPPOSITION!

This is why I have you and others like you, on ignore. This kind of response, right here.

No, we have a history in other ML threads. You’ve directly quoted me, before. I just didn’t respond because I knew I would get this kind of a reaction.

You pretend to ask a question and then just deflect people’s answers. You’re not having an honest discussion, at all.

Doubt it.

You made a claim, I said it was wrong… proof is all you need bud. Your statement was that of a bitter person who doesn’t have a real argument. Plus your statement didn’t apply to me and your message was directed at me.

You answer me and I’ll answer you. Until then… I’ll leave you be in the corner.

This actually has a name, the ad-hominem fallacy

The anti-ML crowd seems to be a big fan of this one, as well as texas sharpshooter (ignoring the evidence that counters the claim), burden of proof fallacy (I’m right until you disprove me), and the strawman fallacy.

Every serious progression guild until they took it away. Heck, every casually serious progression guild until they took it away. All of the guilds I merc’d for in Wrath (6 that I can remember distinctly). My guild before I went merc, my guild after I went merc. My guild until they took it away.

The ML drama happened over PUG’s using ML. It cost GM time to review claims and adjudicate issues which was not a good place for Blizzard’s bottom line. It was not normally an issue for guilds, and when it was /gquit has always been an option and guilds have always been desperate for good recruits so there are always new homes for people to try out.

I really do not understand how you can’t understand that forcing your version of FAIR on everyone is the antithesis of choice, preference, and fair. Nobody will force you to play with ML. You have a leave group/gquit option to exercise at any time that you are unhappy with how things are going. If all of us ML fans are just greedy power hungry maniacs, don’t join our guilds and runs.

Why would I need to prove your own argument. It’s essentially what you and the anti ML crowd are doing. You are showcasing hypocrisy. You are fine when the system suits you and screw everyone else who doesn’t like it.

And, “my loot preference” is that PL should remain in PuGs, LFD & LFR. ML is only for 100% guild groups outside of PuGs, LFD & LFR. To me, that’s not “forcing” ML on “everyone”.

It’d be the same way if you got ML back.

Though knowing Blizzard they will monkey paw it.

Ah… so you believe your idiotic statement represents me and other people who don’t want to see ML return? It doesn’t… you can make that claim til your blue in the face. Doesn’t mean it’s true… just means you’re bitter against the anti-ML crowd.

Good to know that you’re not contesting the claim, and instead using the tu quoque fallacy

Just because something is used by the majority doesn’t mean it is good for the majority or a good system in general. Look at communism (i know its not majority just using it as an example of a bad sysstem), sure the people at the top its great… but everyone else, get in line.

Your opinion of fair pertains to you and people who agree with you. I’ve been steady in saying EVERYONE should ALWAYS get a shot at a drop… not just who Bobby Raid Leader decided gets it.

So you admit the anti ML crowd is showcasing the same behavior. Glad we’ve got that out of the way.

Okay. So with the main issues presented with PL, what’s your suggestion in fixing it?

Still waiting for an answer to this:

Simple, remove the ilvl restrictions… there was never a good reason for that. Outside that, change nothing, because it should be dispassionate and random.

Evidently, deny that any problems exist.

In that they have their own selfish reasons then yes.

We as the players can’t come to any kind of reasonable conclusion.

How does that fix the fact that PL makes weapons harder to get than other slots?

Why would you think that a single loot system would be appropriate for all of the hundreds of thousands to millions pf people that play the game?
There are such a range of people that play this game that its unreasonable to think that any one loot system would cover everyone’s wants.

It’s really hard to reach an agreement when one side takes the other’s position as a non-starter.
