Was a notice supposed to be seen in the battle.net app? I don’t care if there is maintenance, no biggie, but I didn’t see any notifications that it was going to happen and was wondering if this was a bug in the app or some issue on my side. Also, can someone share how long this maintenance will be today since I can’t seem to find that info anywhere (I’m old, probably right in front of my face and I’m missing it lol).
It was on the battle.net launcher.

Thanks for the responses, I did reload the client but still not seeing anything. I’ve scoured the app for it too. Usually the notices show up, so that’s why I was curious. It’s not a big deal, but I thought if others were having the same issue I would report it in the bug forum.
I’m not having an issue with it this time, but I have in the past not had it show up. I restarted my PC and then when I reloaded, the notification was there.
Could I tell you why that happened? Absolutely not. Could I say why the restart fixed is? Also not a chance.

There was, and it had been there for at least a day prior.
There was also a 15 minute Server Shutdown warning in game.
One thing to note that I have found, in order to actually see the launcher messages about maintenance you have to have WoW selected as your game.
“Home” page will not show the message, as soon as you click the WoW logo, the message will be there, or should be. Make sure your launcher is updated and refreshed.

I think there’s a Service Status forum (or something like that) where they always put the maintenance announcements so you can probably check that, too.
Service status subforum was retired some time ago. It usually posted in the launcher, as breaking news in the support page, and @BlizzardCS on Twitter/X

Make sure you are logged into the Americas.
I’d also recommend that you Double-check the settings in the Desktop app that your language is set for English (US).
I already took the Breaking News down from this mornings maintenance so it won’t appear now, but this week’s maintenance should be going up in the next few hours so you can check.

Thank you Vrakthris, and thanks to all the others for the helpful information. I do see the Wednesday maintenance warning as I usually would, just not sure why today’s didn’t show up. It’s no big deal though.

I am having the same issue and have tried to figure it out.
Yeah, I’m not seeing any maintenance notices either in the Battle.net app, or in the game apart from the 15 minute countdown…
no alert? this expansion is not ready man like what is this
they did pre patch a normal, then did a 2nd one and made addon authors
have to redo stuff again
I had a notice on the game page last night but not today.
Breaking News was up in the Desktop app and in the game client for this morning’s restarts it was posted last night, I’m not sure why you may not have seen it.
Please make sure that you have checked what region you are logged into and the language selected. Close out the app fully and reopen. Obviously, maintenance is over, but for the future.
