No maintenance notification, or breaking news

Hi, I am still having issues with the maintenance notifications (none are showing…), not sure why the other thread was closed…

I have checked all the things noted in Vrakthris’s reply. I checked the region and language, I signed out and in and restarted the app, but still nothing. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place, but I wouldn’t think it would be that hard to find… I took screenshots, but I can’t attach them here.

Help would be appreciated.

If you lack the ability to directly post links (requires Trust Level 3 here on the Forums), then highlight your URL and click the </> icon above where you are typing.

That will allow the whole URL to be posted (albeit without the ability to click it directly). It will look similar to this:

www.worldofwarcraft.com

Then anyone wanting to visit the link can merely copy/paste your link.

There’s no maintenance currently going on now, so you definitely won’t see it anymore.

Otherwise, another thing to try might be to uninstall and reinstall the launcher (not the whole game, just the launcher) and see if that helps.

We don’t currently have Breaking News about maintenance.

Were you referring to notification from last night?

Yes, I was referring to last night, or at any point. I have not seen any notices since pre patch launched…

I’d agree with Perl, you may try uninstalling/reinstalling the Desktop App and see if that corrects it.

Can you please post a screenshot of what it’s supposed to look like, and where it should be? Just in case I am looking in the wrong spot?

This is an older screenshot, but it is normally in the same location as that line of text in the white block.

Thanks for the help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the battle.net app with the instructions here. I guess there is no way to know if it’s working yet, I will check back in a few days if there is more maintenance and I still don’t get any notification.

There should be a new notice up on the launcher right now.

Hi All, sadly it’s still not working… No notices. I’m in OCE, does that make a difference to anything?

No, if you are signed into the Americas region, and have English US selected, you should see it.

I think you’ve already tried this but maybe check again by logging out of the Desktop app and clicking on the settings when logging back into the app.

Beyond that, I don’t know why you wouldn’t be able to see what it seems everyone else is.

There was a notice up on launcher last night (I’m in OCE) for the usual Scheduled Maintainence, but it’s not there now.

Thanks for the quick reply. In Australia, we use UK English. I have changed it to US, but still nothing, should there be a notice up now?

Can you go to the Battle.net client, click the icon, go to Settings > Beta, Switch to Beta, and observe during the usual maintenance warning time, then let us know if that helps?

Additionally, while in Settings, what version does it say it is for you? For me, it’s currently 2.35.1.14956 :slight_smile:

Same. Switched to Beta. Restarted, updated, restarted. No notice this morning.

Australia is part of the Americas region so it is US English, I imagine that can be a bit confusing.

I was about to say, yes, because I put it up last night before I left for the night but while it says it should be live, it is not appearing.

I’ll send that up to have it looked into. It’s a new system, and it seems that it likes to surprise us. >.<

It should be:

We will be performing scheduled maintenance beginning on Tuesday, August 27th, 7:00 AM (PDT) and we expect the service to be available again at approximately 8:00 AM (PDT). During this time the game will be unavailable for play.

Ok, I will wait for your reply. You may want to also make sure the notice comes up for UK English as this is what most Australians will use, and is what the installer selects by default. Also, last thing to mention, I am on macOS if that makes a difference. Thanks for the help.

I’m afraid that might not be possible since Europe/England uses UK English and they have different maintenance times than those for the Americas region. Maybe in a future update, but it might be tricky.
