No Ion, Not Everyone Who Delves Wants to do M+

You’ve tried to project your opinion as a fact but that’s about it.

Not my fault you have trouble reading.

You can have your opinion. I’m participating in forum discourse to tell you that your opinion is asinine, selfish and childish.

Well it’s Groundhog Day… Again, and that must mean we’re up here at Gobbler’s Knob, waiting for the forecast from the world’s most famous groundhog weathermen Punxsutawney Phil, who’s just about to tell us how much more winter we can expect!

Its rooted in fact. Something you avviously struggle with. =p

Well i guess i fit in here then!

Entitlement is childish. Expecting rewards equivalent to much more challenging objectives from trivial content is asinine and selfish. I guess it’s a matter of perspective. =]

X to doubt…

Do you need a tissue? It’ll be ok little guy.

Nah I am okay. I appreciate the concern though. Thats the great thing about discourse. No one needs to get upset! Did you miss the memo? You seem rather triggered by our conversation. Wanna talk about it?

The original RNG fest was terrible, but once they gave us a vendor, it was quite fun. Having 100% passive crit on a feral druid was a blast.

The problem is that some portion of delvers still come into M+. Delves don’t exist in a vacuum, so there needs to be design considerations for how each mode interacts with other modes.

I loathed the vendor, rather have RNG.

This. My guild has mostly stopped doing M+ and we’re very happy. We’re back to raiding and group delves and we like it. Although they need to stop scaling the daggone delves so we actually have progression.

The problem was they decided to squish M+ in half as a content type. This made M7 as hard as M15 before (or similar)?

That was a serious mistake. T2-T7 should be pretty chill to provide that “on ramp” for people instead of the “brick wall” (as Ion said).

I used to do a ton of M+ back in BfA, (then skipped SL and DF), and I felt like there was a serious wall to get going in M+ and I just decided to totally pass on it for this season - I didn’t like going into M2 and just not having heals that did much of anything.

So it isn’t about hurting delves, its making the ramp from delves to M+ being less punishing, there was nothing wrong with the best int he world being able to M30, where now they can only do M15, that squish was simply a bad call.

Ion realizes that using Delves to steer players to M+ is a non-starter, but he’s fuming that lowly non-elites are getting decent gear, and he was always going to come up with some lie to justify removing Delves as end-game content. My bet is that he’ll come back with something like “since Mythic dungeons start at M0, we need to scale back Delve rewards so that a lvl 8 delve gives Veteran 1 rewards in your weekly vault, and you’ll be unable to do anything above a M0 with that garbage…”.

not singling anyone out here

but if you are going to wear delve gear and claim delves are too easy at an item level over 620 you should at least have cleared a t10 and prolly cleared zekvir on ?? difficulty first.

also I’d like to point out we are over 1300 posts deep here and most of it is just m+ players crying.

Ion’s already said delves are here to stay and the reward structure isn’t changing.

Change your ways, be nicer to others and treat them better in your favorite content if you want more people playing it.

It’s up to the m+ community to change.

It’s already going to change because we won’t have a much time before m+ unlock.

Nah I’m good.

Agree to disagree here I suppose.

That’s not changing the reward structure.

I do Delves because I do not want to do Mythic+. I hate being rushed through content and trying to beat a timer. I like content that makes the game feel like an RPG. Which is Delves. Not M+.

What did you do in the game before delves?

everything except raids over LFR and m+ dungeons
I even had profession alts I kept up to date
this was all the way thru DF.

now It’s

everything except raids m+ dungeons

just lost interest in raids/LFR and m+

been grinding those for 10 million years now.

Delves are funner cuz we get 3 stories at least for each one and people don’t get mad at me like in LFR cuz I forgot my food buff or didn’t buy a 2k gold gem for one of my rings.

edit: also I get a bigger sense of accomplishment when I solo the delves.

This should never be a thing tho. Lol

Done.

And done.

Maybe not. But it sure was fun for a season.

Lol no the core of the problem is why would I want to run M+ at all? You can’t go afk in it at all, or die, or do anything that’s unoptimized. I despise speedrunning games. I’ll never get the Excalibur 2 for Final Fantasy 9. Yeah let me just ruin the entire game and rush through content to get the most powerful weapon in the game at the very end of the game and not really have much else to do with it. WoW took a terrible concept from an ancient game and made it the entire endgame.

Even if I do delves with a full group of players, I prefer doing that than M+. Delves give me the ultimate freedom to just do it solo, do it as a full group, or do it with a friend or two and none of us being healer/tank.

The real problem is why the hell isn’t anything above 8 rewarding better gear to keep pace with other forms of content? Man who cares about someone getting full BiS in a delve. That hurts your hardcore raider group how exactly? If anything it makes it easier to recruit people since they’ll actually have gear.
