It is just like people are ignoring M0 and jumping into +2 +3 etc.
No one wants to do M0.
You can make M0 drop Myth track gear, they will ignore M0 and do M+.
Because people are dumb.
They don’t want to learn the bosses and trash’s mechanics.
They want to list a key and get overgeared people to carry them.
The majority of people do not play M+, or raids because of the group experience. Have you ever witnessed the mess that the premade finder is?
If people would enjoy the company of others, then they would not gatekeep everyone who isn´t outgearing the content.
I did. I outgeared it and it gave worse vault then a tier 8 Delve
And it should have been SOLO only, not allow groups where you can bring a tank and a healer and cheese it - that’s how it initially became too easy for the reward
Agreed. Which again is why Delves should be SOLO and M+ be the group content if you want to play in group
Better solution is move the 616/heroic ilvl vault to the +11, make people PROGRESS through tiers. Not “Oh look a fresh 80, I can solo tier 8’s for max reward”
I MOSTLY did Delves to get my alts to 606 then went into Heroic raid and barely touched M+. I don’t like M+, never did, BUT I do think this was the first expansion where M+ was just dead to me because it was so pointless to even bother with it. Nobody invited you to a +4 even for runed crests, so after I got geared from Delves I just did Heroic raid for crests /shrug
And clearly here, the majority of people do not play delves for the solo experience.
They play it for the rewards.
The amount of finger pointing at the m+ community is getting old. Lumping in everyone with that rare event in a pug.

For many the thing driving them away is the toxic nature and people therein. Which Blizz won’t / can’t do anything about.

What he’s pointing out is a very obvious fact if you do happen to enjoy and want to do both forms of content.
If you gear up entirely through Delves, anything below 7+ when it comes to mythic dungeons isn’t rewarding. So, since players want rewards, they start where the rewards for them can be earned which is 7+
The problem there is that 7+ is very difficult, especially if that’s your entry point into M+ gameplay. You feel like you’re running headfirst into a brick wall, but, you don’t want to do lower keys to learn the dungeons and mechanics, because those dungeons don’t give you viable rewards, either from the chest at the end or from the Great Vault.
So you keep smashing your head against the wall to ‘earn something decent’. That’s not ideal. What this probably means is one of two things:
Either way nothing is confirmed at the moment, we’ll likely know more in the months to come as 11.0.7 launches and 11.1 goes into the PTR.
Yeah and the squish they did on mythic+ has only made matters worse in this regard.
I mean if they are only gearing up through delves then it would technically take a lot longer as delves you get 1 piece of gear a week in vault and at most 4-5 pieces that are 603 from bountifuls. Whereas mythic+ is relatively spammable long as you can get groups for it.

They still stick with that one. I have a phone but refuse to enter my # for SMS so I can’t edit titles and such in group finder, very annoying. I also can’t play some of their games like Overwatch because I don’t give out my #.

There’s also the maps, if you get them, which if you get a T8 map, rewards a piece of 610 gear.
Ion is absolutely right about Delves being too much more rewarding than M+ at lower levels. The best option is to increase the rewards from lower level M+ then. Have M+7 or M+8 reward myth track gear in the vault. Have M+6 drop hero loot and gilded tokens at the end of the run.
True but maps aren’t reliably found.
M+ players hijacked Delves and cried to much about not feeling special anymore that Ion is catering to his little elitist groups again. Color me shocked.

I agree with this HOWEVER… when I wanted to do M+ for Crests, they were like impossible. 1. Nobody would invite you to even a +4 if you were 606ilvl, which was higher then the gear that dropped end of dungeon AND the fact a +4 vault was useless/low compared to your tier 8 Delve
M+ just felt so hard and like a waste of time, a lot of us who previously did M+ just didn’t care to anymore. I used to love doing +2’s up to +5’s or even +8’s in M+ in the OLD system before they level squished M+. I liked M+ at the “entry level” M+. But the issue M+ became far too sweaty, and the rewards did not match the effort.

Is a bad take. Why? People will take the quickest and easy path to gear. Just the way it is. I went from Delves → Heroic raid. In under a month I had my AOTC. Now all I do is level alts cause I never go over 619 (or = to 8/8 Champion or 4/6 Heroic gear)
Since Delves quit being rewarding to me, and I had no desire to push M+ to a +8 or higher, I basically called it done for the season.
