Because it is optional. 2/3 of my guild members have not stepped foot in M+ for as long as I’ve been a part of the guild, which goes back to BFA S1. They absolutely see character progression week over week from raids and vault. Now if you want to say character progression is sped up by an unhealthy amount by M+, I could understand that position even if I would disagree with it. But you make it seem like nobody will ever experience progression on their character if they don’t farm M+ religiously, which is absurd.
I think you:
Seem to believe the people you respond to actually think the made up numbers and platitudes you offer about players in WoW and MMOs more generally actually hold some merit.
Don’t realize that what “appeals to mainstream MMO players” is of absolutely no concern of mine. I play the parts of WoW I find fun; I don’t care if you want to classify those parts as being inconsistent with an MMO. If they’re fun, I’m going to play them.
Top 100 players running keys that are 5 levels below what they’re capable of isn’t really a good measurement of whether that something is hard…
Mythic raiders and PVPers prior to the gear changes could claim this. But for everyone else, which constitutes the majority of players, M+ is just another game mode they can choose to engage with if they want. Garrisons from WoD and every borrowed power system we had from Legion through SL had a much larger impact on shaping the design of the game than M+ ever has.
Dude I don’t know what you’re smoking but sweaty chads are a minority in wow. The majority of the player base are casuals who farm mogs, pets and mounts. Those people enjoy delves and they have ZERO intention of doing your precious M+. Play your game and worry less about what others do.
I do disagree with this. Higher level of delves should offer more rewards. Its always if the difficulty merits it in my books. Its why I was so long ago so firmly against lfr. So long as it respects the difficulty curve you should get the rewards.
You don’t care anything about difficulty and game rewards. Your opinions on what should happen aren’t relevant cause it’s always “give more gear or free stuff.”
What is with certain m+ players that you have to act like the Gear Karens worrying about loot OTHER people (who you have no desire to ever play with) are getting?
You say this, but GD is constantly bombarded with threads about removing M+ or changing it on a fundamental level from people who don’t participate in M+ at all or barely do.
