No Ion, Not Everyone Who Delves Wants to do M+

The funny thing is, delve runners can’t even fully upgrade their hero track gear either since they don’t have access to gilded crests.

Unless the pity vendor sells them? I’m not sure. If it did, that would be a very expensive and slow way to upgrade your gear.

They have access to gilded crests, in theory, they can upgrade it with Diablo 2 levels of grinding.

(2 per map I think.)

Because it is optional. 2/3 of my guild members have not stepped foot in M+ for as long as I’ve been a part of the guild, which goes back to BFA S1. They absolutely see character progression week over week from raids and vault. Now if you want to say character progression is sped up by an unhealthy amount by M+, I could understand that position even if I would disagree with it. But you make it seem like nobody will ever experience progression on their character if they don’t farm M+ religiously, which is absurd.

I think you:

  1. Seem to believe the people you respond to actually think the made up numbers and platitudes you offer about players in WoW and MMOs more generally actually hold some merit.
  2. Don’t realize that what “appeals to mainstream MMO players” is of absolutely no concern of mine. I play the parts of WoW I find fun; I don’t care if you want to classify those parts as being inconsistent with an MMO. If they’re fun, I’m going to play them.

Top 100 players running keys that are 5 levels below what they’re capable of isn’t really a good measurement of whether that something is hard…

Mythic raiders and PVPers prior to the gear changes could claim this. But for everyone else, which constitutes the majority of players, M+ is just another game mode they can choose to engage with if they want. Garrisons from WoD and every borrowed power system we had from Legion through SL had a much larger impact on shaping the design of the game than M+ ever has.

Wait. 2 gilded crests per hidden chest you mean? Lmao. That’s a big oof right there when you consider the 3-4% drop rate on maps.

Would just be like farming Mephisto. (Not really.) heh.

Man, some of the new mounts have a higher drop rate than that. :upside_down_face:

Dude I don’t know what you’re smoking but sweaty chads are a minority in wow. The majority of the player base are casuals who farm mogs, pets and mounts. Those people enjoy delves and they have ZERO intention of doing your precious M+. Play your game and worry less about what others do.

You’re so close to getting it.

No but it was meant to get people geared for it or at least the previous tier.

I do disagree with this. Higher level of delves should offer more rewards. Its always if the difficulty merits it in my books. Its why I was so long ago so firmly against lfr. So long as it respects the difficulty curve you should get the rewards.

100% agree with OP. Either make delves better or leave them alone. Don’t gut my content because the other content is bad.

They do, just at a very low rate.

They don’t really enjoy M+ as much as they claim…

LOL…exactly…you just want M+ to be the only form of play. IOW, an M+ troll.

why would m+ be the only form of play if it provides no useful gear outside of m+? Do you even read what you post?

I think just a troll in general. Nothing of value to add, always confrontational with every post. Sounds like a troll to me.

You don’t care anything about difficulty and game rewards. Your opinions on what should happen aren’t relevant cause it’s always “give more gear or free stuff.”

What is with certain m+ players that you have to act like the Gear Karens worrying about loot OTHER people (who you have no desire to ever play with) are getting?

Can’t you just play m+ and be happy?

I don’t care what gear they get as long as it doesn’t impact m+ which has a competitive title at the end there.

Give delve ilvl 2000 if you wish, as long as it gets downscaled in other content.

Going to need citations.

Which is perfectly fine.

You say this, but GD is constantly bombarded with threads about removing M+ or changing it on a fundamental level from people who don’t participate in M+ at all or barely do.

Delves can drop anything if it doesn’t impact m+ or raids.

Ilvl can be as high as people want.

Sure if it trivializes world content (which is already absurdly easy) so what lol.

People seem intent on having the ability to bring delve items into m+ or raid (which they allegedly, do not do.)
