No Ion, Not Everyone Who Delves Wants to do M+

/shrug I doubt that the devs intention is for people to get to the end of delves and then just stop. They always want people to transition to the next level because it keeps people playing. If people WANT to stop there really isn’t anything they can do about that but it is unlikely that is what the devs intended.

I mean. Yes.

Every dev in the world wants people to enjoy the game they made. So in the most vague sense, you are right. The Devs would love for every person to try and enjoy all forms of content.

But they also clearly made delves as their own form of content.

Would they like people to enjoy m+ also? Sure.

But are they going to force people to? No. But they do want to make it a better process for those that do want it

Incentivizing people with rewards to do content they might not normally be inclined to do is a good thing.

Nobody is forcing anybody.

Unlocks are not rewards.

If they do that they might as well just make Delves easier too, so we can just fly through and get Zekvir and then never do Delves again.

Delves are pretty popular I see no reason for Blizzard to stop supporting them.

Then you have to wonder, why did they design Delves to be the way they are in the first place? Do they have so little foresight that they could not draw comparisons when they created the system?

This is, for me, one of the major issues of the current iteration of Blizzard’s game philosophy. Make something, chuck it in the game and make it all blingy and fun looking, and then when they find its not working, come along later and fix it.

Its my big concern for player housing. PH is such a multilayered complex addition to any game and I’m concerned this will happen to that as well.

Stop arguing with this thing, it’s 2.7k rio and 6/8 M. It’s so out of touch with the argument all it’s doing is trying to gatekeep other people.

It’s that’s anecdotal thing you always hear about but never meet yet here we are. Mythic raider worried about someone else’s gameplay loop. I think a delver declined their kid for a key or locked their grandma from a raid, it’s the only things I can imagine in a game that would make something like that care about something that has zero to do with it.

WOW planning in a nutshell.

There are a lot of ways that players can interact in an mmo. That does not mean that players should be directed towards forms of game play that they dislike (like M+ for many). This basically is no different than the people who wanted to keep players on the ground so that they could gank them. The solo gear is not wasted when it helps a player enjoy their solo content more.

After they nerfed tanks and healers yeah no thanks never doing mythic+

can confirm I have hit the gear plateau in delves and do not, in fact, want to touch M+ with a ten-foot pole. Even with the cool diamond mech mount.

M+ culture is by far more toxic than PvP & mythic raiding. Actively turned multiple friends off the game who came back in previous expansions too.

Haaaaaaard pass. If it were up to me, Delves would give gear up to mythic level because I am completely content doing them and only them. I play WoW as a single player and enjoy the multiplayer aspect socially, not through my end game content.

Whatever drops in m+ doesn’t affect delve players because they don’t interact with it.

So if delves were lower ilvl, they can’t skip to the end.

Delves still retain better gear in delve 8 vs delve 1.

So solution: Ilvl of old 0-10 deleted key bracket.

Blizz touted Delves as their own endgame pillar, yet they instead seem to be wanting to use it as a lower-ilvl stepping stone into sweatlord mythic modes.

They need to get out of that mindset and stop trying to coax players into doing content they have 0 interest in doing. Pillars should stand on their own.

The roadmap they released mentioned Horrific Visions Revisited in 11.1.5. I have a feeling that is going to be the top of the solo pillar. They can tune that to mythic level difficulty without having to change delves into something that current delve enjoyers wouldn’t like.

The thing about horrific visions is that they can gate mythic gear till like week 8 or something. If it were to drop.

I can’t wait to do visions again. I heavily enjoyed that in BFA and it was great as a solo player. The bugs were annoying but being able to 5-mask and get a 470 piece was fun

I guess my question is why does it matter where gear comes from and who has what gear? If a player does content they should get rewarded. If they cap gear…meaning there is a max you can obtain for a season, then who actually is out there caring about who’s wearing what? Do some of you guys actually not want players getting good gear is that the issue here? If I can go do the hardest level delve what different does it make if I can or can’t do the hardest mythic…or raid for that matter. Why does it even matter at all? I don’t think I’ve met a player who gave a half a crap about what someone was wearing since vanilla wow. Gear changes every few months anyways why is this even an issue at all?

It matters to Blizz because they archaically try to use gear to coax players into doing content they don’t want to touch.

It matters to gatekeepers because gatekeeping.
