NO HEALERS, I begg Community for Solutions

I’ve personally rarely seen this abuse when I heal, it’s 100x more likely the DPS will turn on each other and blame each other for low DPS if anything goes wrong.

But I think Blizz has tuned healer DPS way too low especially on some of the specs. Like way way too low, like Classic levels of low, and the poor QoL probably takes a toll at least as much as the foisting of too much pressure on healers in the M+ environment.

Either make it so that our interrupt and stops are no longer our most important healing buttons, or give us ways to deal with the consequences of interrupts and stops not happening. The only people who don’t complain about healing this patch are the ones who don’t heal and the ones that are in groups organized enough to properly handle mob control and defensive usage. I for one would prefer healing to have more agency then just prehealing the predictable damage and accepting random deaths because two bolts went out at the same target.

This can be done by a general improvement of single target healing and/or externals or lowering burst damage, or making healer stops and interrupts more robust(which would likely affect pvp in a bad way) . Personally I’d like to go back to being able to do healer damage while covering healing mechanics rather then the current state of feeling mostly helpless while desperately trying to keep people out of one shot range as seemingly random damage comes out from failed interrupts, stops, and reckless pulls.

In my experience there is virtually no target marking in keys except maybe a WA for interrupts that nobody follows or uses.

Breakers have more health than pelters and are 100% the correct focus target with cleave onto the pelters.

This conversation in general though is pretty typical for players. There is a lot of nuance and detail in every pack, some of it may not be obvious at first. But there is a lot to learn. Nobody knows and memorizes them all at first it takes time.

The mentality of just defending how you do something and justify mistakes is a bad mentality to have in WoW and in life in general.

Healer abuse has been virtually non-existent in my DF experience.

That’s always been the problem with M+. If the groups on point and has super utility (especially plenty of the coveted AoE CC and interrupts) it’s a totally different experience from a poorly coordinated group that lacks that utility.

It’s been since Legion though and Blizz hasn’t done all that much to balance utility for M+.

You are making assumptions, I have not defended anything nor stated that my or your way is correct or wrong.I only stated that I’m focusing on target group lead is marking as priority.

Yeah, but there have been seasons before where having a max geared healer could still just carry a group of low ilvl low skilled players through mid keys. In bfa it was possible to make goofy damage sets with azerite/corruption/trinkets and even be top dps while still covering healing. Shadowlands was also infamous for healers picking damage covenants and a lot of healers I knew at the time liked them. I for one miss vesper totem dearly and resto shaman at the end of the expac felt really good for the cc you provide and the damage you do. I just don’t feel that in dragonflight healing as it feels like at any point a random death can occur if you don’t absolutely trust your group with their cc and defensive game.

There is a lot to learn and commit to memory on the dungeons as you progress. How many players know every mechanic of every trash mob in every dungeon?

It’s one of those things that isn’t that important, until it is.

Your response regarding handling avalanche is telling.

I don’t know what you expect, here. Healing just isn’t as easy as it was, or the content is more punishing with the random, unavoidable damage. I constantly have to heal myself in keys because I will go up to 10 seconds with no heals whatsoever while I watch my health go down and down (without even standing in anything).

Personally, I don’t find healing that fun in general, mostly just by design. I don’t like being responsible for fixing someone else’s stupidity, OR just having to constantly use my glowy hands rather than tank or DPS. I just don’t heal in games anymore. I don’t find it fun, therefore I don’t. Some people do, most don’t seem to.

Sidenote: People on the forums always complain about X or Y, but the easiest solution? Join a guild. Make a guild. Make some friends. The more people you know, the fewer you have to PuG.

Your responses as well.

I refuse to go back to healer until I’m having as much fun as everyone else and only working as hard as they are. Currently I have way less fun and have to work way harder. Not even mentioning it’s a far more stressful job. That’s a hard pass for me. NTY

Yes, getting KSH is possible on any healer ESPECIALLY this season. Gearing is so easy its unbelievable. Even allowing +16 Vault rewards to go up to the same ilvl as +20’s and mythic raids did.

This also has allowed so many players that have absolutely no business doing higher keys to do high keys and just completely brick the key. I had to take a step back this season and if the gearing and handouts are the same next season I’m out.
I know this is more of a personal problem, I’m sure the vast majority of more casual players enjoy having access to the same ilvl of gear as even the more HC players but I’ll pass.

Very well said!
My hot take is , that we need a wide buff on healers(resto shaman, resto druid, disc priest, monk). So people feel encouraged to play those specs.

We got :
-Holy Priest, Disc Priest
-Holy Pally
-Preservation Evoker
-Resto Shaman
-Resto Druid.
-Monk,The big foot spec ( :grimacing: )
On higher keys as I see is a lot of ‘exodia’ or ‘meta’ comps with bear, shadow priest, holy pally, mage, aug evoker. Lets break it down.
All of those classes , besides mage, have healing specs. so every ‘exodia’ comp has 4 less potential healers around and priest has 2 healing specs that are not being played on M+!
It’s fine, you play it your way and is very fun to play all those current specs.

There’s the spiky damage problem that a couple specs have a hard time to top everyone off like Resto Shamans and Resto Druids. I played both and it’s the ‘sweaty guy meme’ feeling for 35 minutes when you start a mythic+ key.
Holy Priest is great for raids but I feel like something is missing on m+.
Evokers are now playing Aug evoker. It’s the best way to play the class on m+ hands down.
And thats my take on it.

Are you forgetting that the dungeons got rescaled so you’re trying to get to +20s with outdated gear (because a new season is out?)

Also if you were doing 20s by end of season, that’s after like 50% charity nerfs.

Took me less time to reach +20s this season vs season 1. But, that’s in line with expectations, I hoped for weeks, but was back to timing them week 2.

Keystones dropped 10 levels for a reason, so by doing 14s, you’re already doing 4 levels above what Blizzard considers equivalent.

Reroll into a healer and get into guaranteed groups you have no business being in then if the demand is so high. Oh wait, everyone else must play healer and not you though right?

Also, WoW was virtually unplayable yesterday for me with 1500 world latency and I wasn’t the only one having issues in the Sark group I was in.

I am aware of that… I played season 2 for two months as a healer, not just one week.

That’s an anomaly then if you couldn’t reach +20s within that span of time.

I guess it isn’t so, if you just played the last month of the previous season. Another factor to consider is if they changed something about your class, and you didn’t change.

This is what sort of burned me out on pugging so much once I hit 2500ish on both my toons. (My other healer is a MW Monk.) Most people seem to have quit for the season and those who are left think they should be able to ignore everything and still easily time. Add that to even worse class balance than usual and it has been a recipe for zero fun. No one wants to play just to feel anxious the whole time.
