As someone who RAILED against flight being removed in WoD…
This was a good decision. Their design philosophy is so completely different now. Movement is no longer something they begrudge players having access to, it’s something they use the create fun gameplay. Let different places work different ways when that makes sense. Dynamic flight doesn’t make sense here, and drifting around the map at breakneck speeds sounds fun af

Yeah, usually the islands/zones added after launch aren’t that big anyway. And we’re getting a car.
As someone that’s huge pro flying, I’m more than okay with not flying in Undermine.
Is it weird I’m hoping they let us ride pedestrian Goblins over like grandtheft auto?

I know, you know this Bread.
now im gonna leave it up on purpose. this all youre fault. i was just preparing to edit it but now…NOPE. extremely demoralized.
if you want my honest unfiltered opinion about this, that you know I am capable of breaking it down to the bits. I think player housing needs to be pretty darn cool, because most of the wow players that aren’t male. aren’t going to give a darn about drifting cars.
I could be wrong, I don’t have specs on who plays Tokyo drift on I phones, but I bet the ratio F to M is pretty low.

i say this. we need to have golf courses in player housing.
Why wouldn’t they like fast cars?
It’s not like they’ll have to park.

a lot of the biggest MarioKart fans I know are women. If it’s fun, everyone will enjoy it.
An alternative way to restrict flying could be what was done in Ogrilla, Blade’s Edge Mountains in TBC. Yes, you could fly but the air was patrolled by flying mobs that was very aggressive.
im fine with this no-flying zone. i think it’ll be an interesting experience to bump into other players while questing
I would ask Blizz what content? LOL Leveling takes barely just a couple of hours to get from 70 to 80. Flying will save you all of like an hour.
This really feels more like someone at Blizz had this idea that no flying would just make the game awesome again and they are resentfully sticking to it no matter how often and decisively they are proven wrong.

Missed opportunity for tinker class and flying machines.
BlizZard thinks so small.

Gnome mecha-spiders climbable wall ability?
Can’t remember that moment myself, but zones with flying usually still have stuff you might need to walk through to access. Certainly doesn’t mean flying ruins the whole experience when you have to be on the ground to actually do anything beyond enjoying the scenery anyway.
Not really any different than flying across the dragon isles and the black dragon castle comes into view, but I guess we’re into personal preference there.
If the city (being a Goblin city) is crammed full of buildings upon buildings and bling upon bling, then there wouldn’t be much room to fly anyways.
What does bloat have to do with timegating something? It’s been proven that wow timegating things just for a new feature has driven players away. This isn’t a good thing and never has been a good thing. Having both flying and reasons to play on a ground mount would be better than just being forced to play on the ground. Versatility has always been Blizzards strong suite and failure when they fail to implement enough of it through free choice.

thought flying was coming 6 weeks after the release or was that a different zone?
Just because you can fly, doesn’t mean you need to skip things. You can be on teh ground, plodding away till the next quest objective. I want the choice to NOT do that and finish the quest ASAP.
I get it. I want the option to have 639 gear drop in Delves. But sadly that is not how they were designed. I’m sorry you will not enjoy it as much, and waiting 6 weeks is an option if you want to just grind out the ring at the end on a single day.
I’m fine with no flight especially since we are seeing the new ground mount
