Because they just love screwing people over and making them re-earn the same skills over and over and over again all because certain whiners in the community whine about “but I don’t like flying”. Even though they could just not use a flyer.

We get cars that will drive 6x faster than current ground mounts… and they drift.
This is so much better than flying.

From what I understand too, after hearing the interview. It seems like speed is going to be skill based. So, it’s not just going to go 6x faster, but probably will if you drift correctly, boost correctly, ect.
It actually sounds kind of fun. I’m excited for it.

Good, because in the Kart games I’m always the heavy character who drifts like a boss, can’t wait to be Tokyo Drifting past people in my Goblin Hooptie.

The only people ruining anything are people like yourself who whine “wah I don’t like flying wah”, but instead of simply using your ground mounts, you pitch a fit and throw a tantrum until blizzard restricts everyone else because YOU don’t like it. Sorry but you’re not important enough to get to dictate to me or everyone else we shouldn’t be allowed to use mounts we earned or paid for just because you’re too lazy to click a ground mount.
Heaven forbid I actually want to use mounts I earned or paid for in the way they’re designed to work. I mean screw me for not wanting my skills stolen over and over again to appease the small handful of anti-flight whiners like yourself.

Also Blizzard: creates two new zones with no flying.
I have no idea why blizzard insists on designing the game in a way that directly contradicts the desires of the majority of its player base.
Majority of player base: we prefer TBC flying to skyriding.
Blizzard: Here is a new ground mount that is exactly like sky riding!
