No flying in 11.1 zone Undermine according to new dev interview

Honestly, I’m looking forward to a zone with no flying. While I love being able to fly, it’ll be nice to do something different for a change and to break out some of my ground mounts that hardly get used these days.

PLUS!!! Goblin Cars!!! I think the goblins have the best start area, hands down, and a good part of that is because of the cars, and those aren’t even customizable, as the new ones are supposed to be. And the races!!! While I pretty much suck at the dragon flying races, I just love doing them.

Also… goblin towns just really are the best fun.

Sadly the customization is limited to the car’s performance characteristics, and cabin color. I wish there was a rosterum of transformation and parts to collect.

Hopefully the car is so cool that the no flyin doesn’t become an issue.

If the car system is super fun then it’s a win. If the car system is not fun then no flying will literally make people unsub.

Surprised Blizzard is taking such a huge risk.

Aww… well, I’m sorry to hear that. But it’s just the beginning, right? Maybe in a future xpac! I’ll keep my hopes up.

Also… even better than a rosertum of transformation… it could be a goblin run auto-body shop!!!

Making us have a vehicle there that is faster than flight.

I’m okay with that.

I’m looking forward to it.

My question now is though, will we have a equivalent of the inking squid we can yell at with questionable language.

To many are dependent on Flying. Get out and walk for a while, use the car or just not log in. AND why they do it…Cause they can hahah.

okay but shadowlands and wod exist.

How does flying ruin your gameplay personally?

I never said it did.

In fact, I quite enjoy the hell out of skyriding.

All I said was that adding flying to certain zones would ruin them.

Nice experiment but just like the MAW it is going to be a failure.

Nah, because unlike the maw, we have actual transportation. The maw sucked because only druids had any form of speed movement.

Because Daddy Blizz will see it as a mandate and start restricting flying everywhere. And WoW without flying costs me actual money, because FFXIV doesn’t have a token and that’s what I’ll be playing if flying gets more restricted. In fact, if flying isn’t avaliable in July when my playtime runs out I’ll be paying my Xmas cash to Square.
When flying is available peeps
who don’t want to can always use a ground mount. Doesn’t work the other way around. :see_no_evil::hear_no_evil::speak_no_evil:

Having tested it out on the ptr, it is very different than the maw.

Plus in the maw, you couldn’t even mount for the longest time.
