…That’s not seasonal. That’s fresh.
Or am I getting my definitions wrong?

Diablo 3 seasonal characters are kept as regular characters after the season. They are permanent.
i’m a shillll for broken.
Huh.
Too bad that can’t happen with Classic due to the limits on how many characters you can have per realm.
It’s almost like I’ve actually got something to be worried about.
“LOOK AT ME I’M THE MOST SMORT AND IMPORTЭNT PERSON HERE AND I AND ONLY ME REPRESENT EVERYONE WHO WANTED CLASSIC, SO YOU SHOULDN’T LISTEN TO ANYONE ELSE!!11”
Are you that pathetic in real life?
There are like thousand of people who want different things. Why do you think that blizzard should listen to you only? Cause you played Vanilla? Almost all of us did. Yet we have different expectation from this game and want to preserve some and get rid of other stuff which is dumb.
Also stop acting like a spoiled entitled child. If blizzards will do something with something they will explain it, as they did with new GUI and expanded graphics already.
To be fair, they did NOT explain the expanded graphics. Or did they start a thread on that I’m not aware of?
This isn’t entitlement, this is making sure they hold up their end of the bargain. They marketed Classic a certain way upon announcement. I’m holding them to that.
Seasonal servers are for games like Diablo, where you hit end game in 1 day and max out your BiS in 1 week.
WoW Classic does not need seasonal servers to make the game have value like Diablo does. WoW Classic was designed for YEARS of value, not 1 week of value.
But, hey - if they make separate Seasonal Servers and leave permanent locked-in WoW Classic servers for people to play on and preserve their characters and progress forever, go for it. I just don’t want to lose any of my progress.
IMO, WoW Classic should be an interactive museum, not a rinse and repeat chalkboard.
I’d be for this as well, Shamalok.
But I’ll believe Blizzard will keep these things separate when they announce in no uncertain, lawyer-speaky terms that they will.
They said that you shouldn’t care about that, since you have a toggled option to make graphics the same way they working in Vanilla. But there are not reasons to keep other people not use updated graphic cards and not enjoying fullness of the world if they like it.
And this is perfect reason for me.
You getting your “pure” vanilla graphics with toggle, other people who care about visual filling of the world get theirs. All are happy, all in win-win situation.
Or you want stuff for others ONLY HOW YOU PICTURING IN™ cause “muh vanilla #nochangeREEE”
And it’ll be that way in minimum through phase six. The more successful classic is, the more likely it won’t just stay in maintenance mode.
You really don’t have anything to worry about for at least a couple years from now, and even then the absolute worst case scenario is you play your paladin into tbc.
Oh, don’t get me wrong. I’ve no issue with the updated graphics. It’s not like you couldn’t push Vanilla beyond its default toggle limits via macros back in the day anyway, this just makes it easier.
I was just pointing out they never actually explained their reasoning behind it.
Or I don’t, because I despise Outland. And the vast majority of TBC content.
See look, we actually see eye to eye on something.
i always turn all that stuff down, even when comp can handle it, because you’re just asking to burn your comp out sooner by having so much extra data. i only keep view distance and particles toggled above low or lowest setting. the ground clutter is really nice but no point in it.

Nothing wrong with despising outland. I think it’d be much more likely though that Blizzard would make everyone restart for tbc (and have vanilla in a museum) rather than move classic characters to tbc.
We can only hope, man.
I need their word on that though. I can’t trust them if they’re still being cagey and relying on Ion’s law degree to avoid saying anything concrete.
This sounds amazing!
Ion already ruled it out though apparently…
I should probably change my OP.
wheee.
he ruled out classic at one point too. hehe
