No Classic+. No Expansions. No Seasons

Once more…

No.

I do not trust Blizzard. And I was sold on Classic with the understanding that it’d be a museum, i.e. static – a version of the game that would always be around for anyone who wanted to play it. That’s how it was marketed upon announcement.

Your demands are putting that in needless jeopardy.

If Blizzard does ANYTHING other than put Classic in permanent maintenance mode after Phase 6, I’m leaving WoW entirely and never looking back. It will be dead to me. And I know I’m not the only one.

HOWEVER… They can keep me if they make this alternative WoW of yours completely separate from the museum. But I doubt they would if they finally caved to your demands, because they love saving money.

Your demands are more important than other people’s demands because you are you and they are other people.

They need to leave Classic as it is after the phased content is rolled out and open a Classic TBC server.

Considering Vanilla has been in demand since TBC, yeah I would say my “demands” ARE more important since you’d be screwing everyone over who wanted Vanilla to stick around.

Again.

You know, the people who got Classic to be done in the first place.

For sure, for sure, cool cool cool cool. Blizzard, listen to this man. He’s demanding what he wants and his demands are more important than anyone elses. He got Classic to be done in the first place.

Well if you want to have what happened to osrs and lost 75% of their population and finally recovered around 2018 sure be my guess and then you won’t have Vanilla Wow.

Given how long we’ve been fighting for Classic, they should never get rid of the museum servers regardless of what happens.

After that I think a Classic+ could be interesting, but I’d rather see them move into TBC and WotLK servers personally.

If you read the OP, you’d see that I do not trust Blizzard to preserve Vanilla one bit if they decide to do post-Phase 6 content.

They’re a corporation. Corporations LOVE saving money, even when it makes no sense to.

Classic is in danger if we keep asking for more than this.

To be fair part of why they’re doing Classic is to tap into private servers that would immediately pop back up if Classic ever becomes not authentic Vanilla.

There will always be a reason to maintain at least a couple of Classic servers.

Well sure.

But when in recent history has Blizzard ever shown a modicum of common sense?

They’re going to have to do something post-Phase 6. Otherwise the game will die. I hate to say it but it will. At some point, people will not wanna continue doing naxxramas over and over again. I get that vanilla isn’t about raiding and what not but, people don’t like to do the same thing over and over again for years on end. Even if they enjoyed it in the beginning will they really enjoy it 5 years from now?

People play single-player games over and over and over again because they find it fun.

WoW Classic won’t be any different, except it’d always be with other people.

Personally I think it’s a big enough museum and I know I’ll never see all of it before I get bored and move on in a few years. No real need to add stuff. And if they did, I’d want special servers for that too as it may not affect me other than trying to face down others’ power creep, I highly highly doubt I’ll even ever raid Naxx much less have it on farm, and I won’t be the only one. Have a like, sir, you’re one of the good ones around here.

But how many people do you know that are going back to playing single-player games over and over again now a days? Plus, the thing is personally, I want to see them add in things that they scrapped during vanilla later down the road after phase 6. Things like the emerald dream would be cool, the dragon isles etc.

Have one yourself. It’s good to see people not attacking others for different, possibly radical opinions.

Single player games from this decade? none single player games from at least 15 years ago?..all of them including myself.

Well, coming from my experience, I don’t know very many people who will play single player games over and over again. Even myself personally. I play a single player game, finish it then never touch it again.

Well, that’s just you then. You’re not a retro gamer.

WoW: Classic is very explicitly for retro gamers.
