i like how you put this example after the complete destruction of 2 of their cities, the japanese were prideful in combat, their soldiers would fight until the last consequences.
but when a country has nuclear weapons they had no other choice but to surrender,that is humilliating.
luckily, this is a game so we don’t really have to worry that our family,friends and neighbours die because we keep fighting.
Besides I’m pretty sure people, myself being one of them, argue to this day that there should have been consequences for that action and it’s ridiculous America suffered none for it.
maybe it was for the better and now we have this long period of peace.
now the problem is… that nothing last forever and with so many countries that now have that tech… yeah…
Do good ends justify horrific means? I have a similar argument with people who believe in the needs of the many.

If I’m not mistaken this wasn’t the only way, it was the only way without risking American soldier lives. You know, getting them to do what they signed up for. Instead America decided murdering a lot of civilians who never even asked for any of it was the better course of action.

On topic I almost forgot I was talking about WW2 and not WoW/Teldrassil there given the amazing amount of overlap there is in my comments about the two lol.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki were industrial cities contributing to the war effort with military bases. Back then the only way to bomb a factory was with fleets of bombers, civilian casualties were an eventuality. A fact the Bush Administration forgot about during Fallujah.
If you want to compare war crimes, look up the firebombings.
Naking as awful as it was, was not a blow inflicted against the United States. And how much the United States cared about Naking was shown in the extreme efforts made to whitewash Japan’s war history and the role played by the Emperor himself in order to reforge it as an Anti-Communist American tool.
The Marshall Plan was a big bonus for American manufacturing which suffered no real damage during the war and took advantage that pretty much everyone else had been blown to bits. It triggered the longest period of American prosperity ever seen which lasted until about the mid '70s.
Then answer me this question. We bombed the spit out of every city, Japanese, Italian, or German that made meaningful contributions to the war machine. Why then were Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Dresden NOT TOUCHED AT ALL, until we decided to make lab experiments and demonstrations out of them?
I’ll give you the answer… it was because those cities had no strategic war value. So they were left untouched in case we needed fresh pristine cities to demonstrate a new technique on. In Dresden’s case that was the Fire Storm technique that would be used to great effect on Tokyo, killing more people than the atom bomb itself would. I encoruage you to look up “Operation Meetinghouse” the single most distructive air raid in history. As for the latter two, we had hinted to the Soviets that we were about to unleash a “great surprise” on the world. We did, but A-Bombing cities that had already been bombed to spit would not have demonstrated the absolute terrifying capability of America’s new toy that we were going to use as leverage in creating the post-war Pax Americana.
Are we now using real life events to justify that Night Elves were lied to? I just want blizzard to give Night elves atleast something. I know we can’t get full revenge because that would mean completely ripping the horde apart. But atleast something, something that shows that the race is not completely dead yet. Maybe a new home, or reconquering what’s left of their zones?

How were they lied to? Blizzard didn’t use a cosmic voice to promise the Night Elves something. Nor were the players of Night Elves promised ANYTHING. They gave Tyrande a power-up let her kill a bunch of scrubs and culminated in a final matchup which gave victory points for both her and Nathanos since you can’t have one faction of players lose to another.
You did, however, get a cinematic where Malfurion got to look tough by wiping out a Horde 5-man party and he and Tyrande get to make faces at Nathanos and his chief scrub.
For all the complaints of the lack of Tyrande narrative on Nazjatar, show me where the Horde got any positive cinematics in BFA outside of Farmer Thrall?

It wasn’t a lie… it was a flat out statement that you had gotten all the revenge that you were going to get. There had been no promise of any balancing of the scales.

We were not promised revenge (even though things like these should be self explanatory that after such an event, there has to be some kind of reaction from the victims) but they said that we already got our revenge which is obviously not true.
