Night Elves actually did get a good ending

They weren’t supposed to… that’s the plot job of the Champions. (to quote Looney Toons… that’s YOU! Flathead!)

And yet… Genn managed to have his moment. Your argument doesnt hold water.

That Sylvanas - Nathanos scene from Shadows Rising looked like a break up and was a reason for some to expect a chance to see Nath as a possible candidate for the next forsaken leader, etc.

Or so I remember it.

Sorry I don’t understand. Can you elaborate?

I saw a mention of Nathanos and him being in his original vanilla place, and that reminded me that the reason why he ended up there was because Sylvanas sent him away.

Tyrande had her moments… fate however wasn’t going to give her the same kind of moments.

The Night Warrior didn’t take down Nathanos on her first go, any more than Elune stopped the Burning of Teldrassil, succesfully divert souls and anima to Ardenweald.

If there’s any takeaway, it’s simply that Elune is far less capable than we’ve been expected to believe .

So he went home because Sylvanas broke up with him? What was he doing alone at home? Crying? Eating icecream as he watched Friends?

What were they?

Which is precisely my point… so Genn Greymane > Night Warrior Tyrande.

Blindly chasing after 4 horde ships with 15 of his own when knowing Sylvanas, it was most likely a trap? I mean, the same happened in the Zandalar intro. I seriously don’t remember if there was any pre quests alliance side or if Anduin even gave his ok to that.
At the rate the alliance loses their ships in bfa it is really no wonder they were so desperate to destroy the Zandalari fleet.

That was his traditional spot in the Classic Open World encounter. Always challenging because in addition to Nathanos, you would get Horde players defending him, more often than not, succesfully.

How should have he had chased her if as you say he wasn’t blinded by rage and vengeance along with half a dozen other Alliance leaders?

Maybe he chased with 15 ships and some of the strongest Alliance heroes specifically because he was taking Sylvanas seriously?

I know the meta reason but what is the reason narratively? That he had his heart broken so he just went back home?

“Must I tell you to go?”

Nathanos swallowed hard, crushing the vial in his hand, a crunch like bone. The shimmering dust slid between his fingers like sand. “I will return to the Marris Stead, my lady, and await your orders.”

She heard the note of hope in his voice, fragile as a fledgling dropped from the nest.

“Go where you will, Nathanos, but do not be idle. The loa knows the Shadowlands well, I expect you will return to me with means to prevent his meddling.” Sylvanas flicked her fingers, as if ridding herself of a speck of muck. “My path lies ahead.”

stuff like that created an avenue for articles like:

“Will we see conflict between Sylvanas and Nathanos in Shadowlands?”

What was he doing there? Well, he was there, so idk.

Because home is home. I assume that the Sylvannas book draws out more of how the place is a part of his personal history. Maybe he went back to get his dogs, and this is the point where the Alliance gets the jump on him.

So you see what I mean when I say Genn got a bigger moment that the Elune’s avatar of vengeance never got right?
Hence… Genn > Night Warrior.

I’m not sure if the Night Elves even had a good treatment of a good ending at all since well justice was not served well for the race, and the fact that they made Elune the goddness who cares about the Night Elven Race as a whole who is on Sylvanas Side kind of goes to show that the Writers and devs are completely have no idea how to even make a good story for the Night Elf Race or just good story at all.

All that I am left with is disappointment.

I think every response I made stated how genn fought a way powered down version of slyvanas so you trying to use that and say he’s stronger than night warrior tyrande is flawed. Yet u only quote the part literally right before I said that. Cherry picking, misleading, spoiled troll.

You do realize elune stoped tyrande to SAVE tyrande from death right? Not to side with sylvy.

You realize my point has been the presentation of Tyrande’s and Genn’s accomplishements against Sylvanas right?

I could not careless about power levels. If Sylvanas got a powerup then so did Tyrande but at the end of the day Genn accomplished more against Sylvanas than Tyrande ever did. And her story is supposed to be one of justice and retribution and of course vengeance.

So… to sum up. Genn > Tyrande.
Thanks for playing buster

How much genn have we seen lately? Sylvanas was dead to rights to tyrande she’s only alive because ELUNE saved tyrande from herself. Tyrande says I’ll give my life to end her or some form of that and then her power wanes. Not coincidence. Which is clearly part of the renewal play she had her chance at vengeance and realized what cost it comes at. And choosing her people instead is what makes her a hero. But keep crying about how you didn’t get exactly what you wanted everyone and everything else be damned. All these night elves fanatics crying now but when night elves were the ones saving azeroth from the burning legion and we’re granted immortality by the dragon aspects to look over the tree and were clearly fav. player choice at beginning of wow. Spoiled babies all you guys are.

Its been 3 or 4 years since BFA. So a lot.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

There’s more of that childish spoiled entitled attitude.
