Night Elf Highborne Customization

Would love to see some upright pointed ears with some ear casing jewelry as well. I always rp my night elf as a Highborne.

The Shendralar should actually look different. They spent many years siphoning fel energy directly from a demon. That should at the very least open the door to green-eyed Night Elves.

As much as I support more customization for each race, and I hope they don’t limit the customizations with an arbitrary number like “50 new customization options”

I am really hoping they bring out the Night elf/kaldorei customization (you know the nature aspect that drives their culture) hopefully they perfect and express that aspect, and then they can add some influenced highborne culture Or elements to represent the new mage/arcane group.

I hope there is room for both, but really want to see my savage and nature oriented nightelf style at the forefront.

it’s a major part of the Horde story in Azshara where the blood elves basically exploit the fact that the night elf mages are inexperienced and using outdated techniques and if you think about it it makes no sense for a level 1 mage to be a 10,000 year old master wizard.

Playable nelf mages are regular night elves who’ve learnt their craft from Highborne, not Highborne themselves.

I would hope that they do focus mostly on the Night Elf customization being more feral. But it would be nice to have a few bits and bobs for the Shen’Dralar. They’re there and so underrepresented.

Your understanding is understandable. However that is not the case.

The Shen’dralar (also spelled Shen’Dralar) meaning “Those Who Remain Hidden” were a secretive Highborn society who dwelled in the Athenaeum within Eldre’Thalas. A part of them were accepted back into the night elven society shortly before the Cataclysm and now train night elven mages.

The Shen’Dralar are also Highborne. They are not changed like the Thalassian Elves or the Nightborne however as they weathered the centuries with relatively mundane magical assistance. (Why they weren’t affected by their demon battery I don’t know but thats what we got).

One reason I’m here supporting this idea though. Even giving us the slight customization would be something for them at least. I always thought they were a neat addition to Night Elven society and that they should really have had more quests and story around it.

Well they weren’t affected by anything because they were hiding out in Dire Maul for centuries. I suppose it would make sense to give Night Elf mages extra customization for them, but nobody else really.

They survived cause they were hiding sure, but they were sucking on a demon most of that time to deal with the magic addiction thing. Soo… green eyes maybe?

Anyway, back on topic, I’m all for any suggested customizations. Give Night Elves jewelry and fancier tattoos, even body tattoos and different skintones and hair colors (DKs get pink and dark green hair, and DHs get black hair). Golden/Amber eyes for Druids, etc etc.

Suggestions for customizations are always good!

They’ve clearly verged from Trolls considerably… Different number of digits, no tusks, sleeker ears/bodies in general, most trolls lost their glowing eyes.

They’re clearly different now despite their shared ancestry.

Besides we were discussing whether the Highborne that are a part of Night Elven (specifically Darnassian) society, vs. the highborne who later became the Thalassian elves, and the branch that became the Nightborne.

That said…

I really hope they give us silver eyes for the male NEs and gold for the female NEs. Again though like green and purple eyes would be neat too.

That aside, Shen’dralar Highborn would also make perfect sense as NE’s AR, if they were to give them their own looks.

The Shen’dralar are an arcane oriented caste, but they aren’t all mages.
