lol dude you literally pulled up a post made to you 2 months ago - you been stewing about that that long?

the claim was he just made the account - a trial account is still an account.

Your claim was you finished all the one time quests - you did not and I proved you did not. You proved nothing except you lied.

Very much appreciated. I do have one question. What are the differences from starting out in Exiles Reach and the other Starting Zones. Like what are the major differences?

No I wasn’t stewing, I was just reminded when I seen such glaring hypocrisy  And I know it would make you feel better if you thought I was stewing but like you pointed out, it was two months ago. My memory, unlike yours, isn’t that bad.

ROFL so let me get this straight… you went Armory diving on two people then had the nerve to call me a stalker when I do the same thing?

Good job proving what everyone suspects about you.

That was what I meant.

I strongly second this. Feel free to level a good number of characters to 10 to find out what class fits you best. Also feel free to try both Alliance and Horde.

It doesn’t take long to 60 but it can really wear on you playing a class you don’t enjoy. Pick the right one for you and go to town.

Druid’s definitely a good beginning class. As are Shaman, Hunter, Demon Hunter, and Warrior. The rest have some subtle nuances to them that take getting used to. Rogue has energy management; Monk is intense DPS rotation and/or healing; Paladin is easy but it’s proc-centric nature can be annoying; Priest is fun if you want to heal but Shadow is a weird mess; and so on.

All my opinion of course. In the end, play what you like, but do take the time to try around with the classes.

this is what you did and what got you labelled as a stalker - not only did you check that posters armory you hunted down all their alts you could find which takes you into an entire other world of weirdness plus you called them a liar (which you edited out later because you recognized you were harassing them TOO).

no I didn’t do the same thing as you - that guy called me a liar to start so of course I was going to see if I was mistaken and it turns out he has no basis to call me a liar because he didn’t do the content he said so he wasn’t in a position to know.

also did you forget this one?

Now are you done derailing this thread and harassing me?

He already started WoW and is asking for tips on playing the game.

Your posts aren’t productive at all nor helpful as that’s not what he asked for with this topic.

I hope you didn’t succeed in scaring him away.

ive been playing casually since legion and my worst experience so far has just been getting killed by higher level players like an NPC :skull::skull: they just see me as another thing to kill

Yeah I am. I don’t feed trolls so you’re on ignore forever.

Oh and you can try to dress it up any way you want but we both know you did the exact same thing I did. Welcome to the stalker club.

Exiles Reach was created to be a simple hand held guide for new players.

Veteran MMO players will find it easy but still required one time now a days.

I would suggest making a Night Elf in their home world to see the difference.

That was the first starting zone I made a character in and it hooked me on WoW.

Welcome to the game and Happy Hunting.

the intent was entirely different no matter how you want to paint it and harassment is all about intent.

I presented two sets of facts with no narrative, you spent over 10 minutes searching through guild rosters and armories so you could call the OP a liar.

Sorry to bring old drama to the thread. I won’t be replying to that person anymore.

Again, welcome to Azeroth.

It’s all good. I have no part in it. I don’t know what you guys mean by old armory or whatever. I MYSELF have never played this game. My ex used to use my account to play Diablo and and maybe she was the one to play this trial or whatever you guys mentioned. But I never EVER played WoW and this is why I came to the forums to ask a genuine question. Also, some of the like 4 pets I have were redeemed through other games I play. Its really as simple as that. But don’t worry about the drama. You do you. I’m very chill and will not partake in the drama you two have. Just don’t bring me in it.

Exiles reach is a new starting zone for all characters on some random scenario island, while the “old” starting zones is things based off your character’s race. The night elf one where u start in teldrassil also hooked me into the game.

I remember exploring the night elf starting area, then finding out theres a map button, and seeing im in a subzone within teldrassil, which is a subzone within, teldrasil, within kalimdor, within azeroth, and theres even more worlds like outland and draenor. I remember being amazed and excited that the world is so big

Those addons aren’t just random stuff. They’re QoL things that will greatly help him out.

Barebones? No one should have to suffer that for 60 levels.

again, they’re totally a personal preference thing.
everyone has different wants/needs when it comes to addons.

the reason i’m in favor of barebones while learning the ropes, is it gives people a chance to understand how the base UI acts.
…and what is “normal” when it comes to interacting with the game world.

if someone downloads addons then starts having issues, it probably wouldn’t occur to them that those issues could be caused by the addons, and they’d assume that the problem is with the game.

…which is why it’s more sensible to have an understanding of how things work, before creating the ongoing need to do UI resets and update addons.

My biggest QoL addon is ATT, and I think everyone should have it, because it’s amazing… but i still wouldn’t recommend it to someone new.

I think people tend to forget how much information there is to absorb when you’re new.
There’s no need to increase the learning curve, by adding a dose of frustration trying to configure addons.

I disagree.

I looked at those suggested addons in this topic and the only one I could see problematic would be Weak Auras which is only required if you’re going hardcore. A lot of them are simple and small QoL changes.
