This account is as old as TBC, fix this. I want to complain about how you just made me mothball the prot warrior and shaman I lvld up to 110 in preparation for shadowlands. For the record, I may just not buy it now and Im a returning player from wotlk.

That is to keep down spam, Vksmasher. Really no way around it other than to keep participating in the forums.

Do all the spammers make accounts 15 years ago so they can crap-post in 2020? Sorry for the sarcasm and Im sure its not within your power, but you must see my frustration. Im old, not a new player. This should be altered from higher up, to account for returning players. We are a group you want to keep around right? People who quit a decade ago and just came back for shadowlands. This is very frustrating. Im here because the massive nerfs on prot btw, it was going to be my main and has soured my entire outlook on the expansion.
It was also replies to a thread I myself made. Come on.

Well, you are correct, we here have no power over those settings I’m afraid.

How old an account is really didn’t come into play with the new forums. Even our posters who had been continuously with us for years had to reestablish things when these new forums went live. As you participate and post, your trust level will also increase allowing you access to more forums options.

Well I appreciate your words of assistance, and I dont mean to be rude. I would however request you pass it up that people are very angry with the sweeping nerfs to(PROTECTION) warrior aoe damage, mobility and even mitigation, its like an all across the board nerf. This is customer service right? Im unhappy with the product.

This forum isn’t a place to get a hold of the devs in anyway shape or form. The blues here won’t pass any feedback up anyway as the blues here ain’t working with the team whom take feedback for them.

Great, thanks, problem solved, Ill take my complaints and stuff them down into my stomach with all the other things that bother me until Ive had enough. Wait, is this 2010 again?

I can appreciate that, Vksmasher - but I think you mistake what CS is.

We deal in gameplay issues - but not in that fashion.

Devs are over decisions like balance, skills, etc.
QA is over bugs
CS is for being stuck ingame, violations of our code of conduct, billing issues - things of that nature.

This forum itself, is primarily a player to player helpdesk.

Nope, it’s Customer Support. That does not, however, mean “I’m a customer, support me” is going to get any traction here.

The devs do not monitor the support forums for feedback, and the support forum agents are not liaisons to the dev team. If you have feedback, it would be best to post in the most appropriate forum (Warrior in your specific case). You can also leave feedback through the in-game suggestion feature.

Warrior forums are not read by devs, this is another point, returning player from 10 years ago - cant even complain on the SL development forums where devs will see it. Blizzard is supposed to have their hand to their ear trying to listen in for what we as a group have to say but its the complete opposite, we are entirely silenced from giving input. I just played for 3 months learning my classes, leveling them up from the 70s and 80s etc, and now my favorite one I was going to main has been clobbered with nerfs.

Im not allowed to complain anywhere anyone who matters will listen. Thats a problem, for Blizzard.

Technically speaking, they’re monitored by the Community Managers (CMs) who are tasked with passing along feedback.

You can also use the in-game suggestion feature if you have a constructive suggestion that you would like to pass along directly to the dev team.

As for “complaining”, it’s really non-constructive and doesn’t accomplish much.

Thw devs ain’t able to reply to each and every last thread on every last forum. More to the point, the player base often think that their one idea isn’t in game means they didn’t read it.

I wouldnt be even a little surprised of the community managers agreed prot should not be a viable thing in pvp, because oh no it takes away control from other players. Bunch of babies, this is why they had to make classic at all. Those people get their way, all the time and people like me arent even listened to. And the player base drops.

Their job isn’t to agree or disagree. They pass along feedback that is well thought out and tested by players. Instead of saying your class got “nerfed”, let them know how you think it could be improved.

But if you’ve already decided that there’s some sort of conspiracy, then that’s unfortunately not something I can help you with.

Perl is correct. Community Managers do keep an eye on forums - as well as many other venues for feedback. THEY do stay in communication with our developers.

That just isnt the function for this particular forum, although we do move posts to a forum better suited to the post quite often.

I made a thread and it listed numerous things that were nerfed which should be not, and explained prot is supposed to be low damage but high survivability (which requires mobility) and act as peels, which is great for arena and pvp etc… but I could only make 3 replies, and then I was drowned out by other people, rogues and such, who prot pvp counter - that mocked me and said ha ha broken spec. And I bet the community manager agrees with them, they are forum regulars and Im some nobody, right.

Customer Support is not read by the Devs and the SFAs here are not liaisons with them.

You can post in the appropriate forum (not the Beta ones). Also the PTR forums.

Complaints or feedback? Feedback is more constructive and more likely to lead to change.

You can give feedback. In the forums and from in-game on the Help menu. Say how it works currently and then how you would like it to work. Leave out “how you just made me mothball the prot warrior and shaman I lvld up to 110 in preparation for shadowlands.” It doesn’t say anything about what you feel is wrong.

It would open the forums up to the same scammers that steal accounts for gold-farming and advertising in-game.

Edit:

Being a forum regular doesn’t make your voice any more valuable than anyone else’s. You are as much a somebody as they are.

o.O

Again, that’s not the job of a CM. They don’t weigh your suggestions against whether or not you’re a regular poster.

If you’d prefer to just provide the suggestions without feedback from other players, then the in-game tool would probably be better suited for you.

Pretty sure my make post button is grayed out and does not work, no I cannot.

Also complaints are feedback, thats semantics and treating people in this snide way is what puts them off. But you dont work for blizzard so I guess you can do that.
