I think most long term ferals and many druids hit this point a long, long time ago. I know the treatment of the spec has made me stop playing several times now.
Iām already expecting to switch to Monk if I do play DF, I have no faith that theyāre going to do right by Druids anymore.
And lets not forget, this xpack theyāve said no borrowed power. So that means the druids will be gimped from beginning to end.
Alright ā¦ blue posts about talent treesā¦ for paladin and warlocks.
39 Days, no responses.
Donāt forget the Mages. Theyāre getting talent reworks tomorrow too.
No Druids tho.
Soon to be 40!
Where do I put my application in to be the druid dev?
Can we still refund Pre-purchase if we used the boost? major regret vibes with where it stands, i can play better feral with just the sub on wrath
You can try via ticket, but in general the answer is ānoā
big sadness
There is 22 Days till Sept 14, which will be 2 months since introducing the druid talent trees.
On Sept 14th there will be 2.5 months (74 days) left to the rumored release date of DL (Nov 28th 2022).
In the last 40 days most classes have had iterations, improvements and feedback, but not druid.
Based on the numbersā¦ there really isnāt much time. Weāve seen no feedback or just any form of communication. Even with feedback, whatās the chance weāll see quality improvements and iterations of the talent trees.
Something needs to be done soon. Once weāre in beta ā¦ it will be too late.
Donāt forget the pre-patch will be before the release, so really our stuff needs to be done by then. And then a code freeze at least 2-3 weeks before that.
You can, except the boosted character will be marked as locked and unplayable is all.
Honestly, Iād like to see a working alpha build a minimum. Many capstone talents arenāt working properly - e.g. convoke gives the āwrong zoneā error, selecting Incarn doesnāt modify CA, etc.
Hope that they get it cleaned up soon.
Itās hard for me to understand how the current Public Relation standards are beneficial. My perception is that different devs/dev teams can decide how and when to communicate. While this flexibility is nice for the devs it allows for groups of your audience to feel abandoned.
I think it would go a long ways to institute a standard, where after requesting feedback the team in question will respond with an update within three weeks (as an example). Even if thatās only āWe are still consolidating feedback but we appreciate everyoneās help!ā
Even if its not actionable the acknowledgment that our feedback is being seen and heard is valuable.
Blizzard has been inconsistent with communication for many years now. The only reason they havenāt mentioned anything on Druid is most likely internal chaos where they donāt even have a plan themselves. If they were confident that they would be making progress on the feedback they would mention that. The radio silence can only mean they truly donāt plan on making many changes anytime soon.
A couple of days ago they tested a new system that would allow for implementation of full rework on talent tree with just a hotfix.
I got a feeling this system is going to be used on druid & priests at some point in DF when we get a dev working on our class again.
Too bad for me, thatās going to be a bit too late. From 2004 until 2022, it was a great haul but Iām afraid at this point, if there isnāt any update from the class design team on Druid in the next 7 days, Iāll officially be done.
Just do me a favor, keep a light on, ay?
But for a small indie company that cant afford to develop a class, how do you expect them to keep 1 single lightbulb on? Do you know how much electricity costs???
It was directed toward my fellow druids, not Blizzard.
