New talent trees

Not ripping, but I dabble in resto too, and those bottom talents on the general tree are only usable by resto druids trying to weave in damage. No dps druid would take them for pve.

Another alpha build another week of exactly zero Druid updates or communication.

Not that I actually expect any at this point but still disheartening.

It’s almost like they are teasing us. Having Druid listed as a bullet point then nothing actually written for us.

Developer notes for other specs look like essays, but druid is blank

Can’t fully comfirm but rumor’s going around that the game will release after thanksgiving. God I hope that ain’t true as this expansion is not even close to being ready.

Well, at least monk looks somewhat promising. Guess That will be my direction going into DF. The bear will be collecting dust as it looks now.
Would be cool to see them actually respond to the piles of druid feedback though.

if balance druid is getting adaptive swarm then it should get unbridled swarm too otherwise the talent will be useless.

They brougt back SO much stuff for monk, while leaving our trees barren and bland, feral is basically shadowlands feral with less options. Hopefully when a dev gets assigned or work gets done (IF it gets done) they take this road and bring back some old spells and abilities many druids of all specs have been talking about.

Check Post 132…. We are doomed allready.

Times runs out, and the Lack of Communication just shows us that they dont care. Not Even a Word-nothing. Maybe they prepare for the next b-cospy Party… Its a Shame!
I Can remember a time when the forums has gms answering stuff within hours- Even in the german Eu Forum.

So frustrating….

The beta is releasing very soon and the Druid developer is actually just an empty chair with a gone home sign on it.

What, dont you have a fishing rod?

When I found out about this, I was working and the rest of the family was camping on a lake.

There’s fundamental problems with the class that they need to address outside of the talent trees too and that scares me the most.

There’s got to be a post some time soon saying, “Hey I’m X and I’m the new druid dev, will be in touch soon”… right?

It’s not that easy Governation.

They may be trying to find a designer that has at least played some specs of druid, but that may be harder than you might think. And even if they did find such a person, chances are that person may only have experience with 1 or 2 of the specializations.

The unfortunate reality is unless they find a designer with in-depth experience with all 4 specs or multiple designers who collectively have experience with all 4 specs, DF will start out half-baked for some or all our specs.

We got screwed and if you can make the talent trees we currently have work for your spec of druid, great, but if you can’t, I wouldn’t expect anything until 10.1 or 10.2 as the designer has to have time to learn, understand, and then reflect not only our feedback but their own vision for the druid class as a whole.

And what’s worse, I wouldn’t expect a class dev to jump into any druid forum at this point, esp if they’re new and have limited or no experience.

The reality is the management need to make a statement as they’re ultimately responsible for having a role that was managed by 1 person and knowing that if that person left, it would have a crucial and negative impact with no overlap.

In other words, it’s equivalent to having one guy who knows all about X thing and they get hit by a bus and no one else knows what they were working on. That’s not the guy who got hit by a bus’ fault, but the management that allowed such a role to be owned by a singular person.

This is the biggest point to me. Like, okay yeah sure the Druid/Priest dev left and while that’s not fair to the Druids and Priests, it’s the reality and I can understand the situation it puts Blizzard in. But you don’t need a class expert to post on the forums and tell us what’s going on or explain what the timetable for getting our class back on track looks like. As it stands currently, we can’t even rule out that the reason there’s been no communication is because they think Druid is A-Okay. They need to talk to us. Literally anything at any point.

There is even more that seems odd. The priests are in a similar situation. In fact, when this rumor first came out, it included the person as covering them as well.

There has also been multiple times when Blizz has said that more decisions are handled on a counsel system. I know there used to be multiple designers working on one class as, once again, Blizz had said so in explanation threads.

So, for one dev to be working on multiple classes just feels, well, a word I cannot use on the forums. As I have said elsewhere, this would explain the incoherence of druid and feral class design.

I was talking with some friends yesterday and they talked me into waiting until the end of this month to cancel my pre-order, although I’m reluctant to wait at this point.

Some people are fine to reroll, but others like myself hate doing it. It really blows when you have put so much time investment into things like achievements, reputation, professions, and collections, and it feels like you are starting over when you reroll.

I think at this point, I’d rather throw my hands up and walk away and do something else with my time and money. I’m done giving into the copium, and I hope others who have the same convictions about Druid as I do, really consider themselves in this situation rather than staying complacent with poor decisions.

C’mon guys they’ve already spent 15 whole minutes on feral druid this expansion, which is more than what they put into Shadowlands and BFA combined. Doesn’t matter if the druid talent tree developer quit, no developers were working on feral when the seat was filled anyway. Gonna have to wait another expansion for the next 15 minutes of feral balancing.

Man you all got my hopes up. I get alerts when there is new replies and usually it’s one or two. I had 7! I was so hopefully there had been an update, but no.

It will sound weird or bad but… am I the only one who feels a little angry or rather exasperated by the 0 communications or any message from any dev regarding the druid’s situation? I mean… even if we didn’t have devs in that area… at least they could tell us something… right? i think blizzard can no longer be trusted
