Any version is fine, i was thinking the slow and miss chance could then have them work the talent into the Guardian tree since historically it was used more by tank druids as their ranged pull method like moonfire is now.
Having it make them take more damage from the druid could be nice, especially with an aoe moonfire but it’d have a lot of overlap with adaptive swarm then, though i guess support insects could be a neat theme.

I was thinking they should replace adaptive swarm with your idea (because unless you add its legendary effect it’s pretty useless). In any case, your ideas are incredible and could be implemented (since we have useless talents or that will never be used… “Noursih” and “adaptive swarm”).
In any case, I hope that Blizzard does something about this issue… because until now the Rdruids together with the Hpally and MW (I wouldn’t count the Disc priest so much anymore since he has improved in DF) are the only ones who would have problems to do dps (for his mele aoe cap) and also for the GCD (along with a 5min heart of the wild burst CD that is way out of date with today)
The lycara’s teachings talent is very underwhelming imo. i honestly expected more than just 1/2/3%, but maybe it’s just the incomplete talent calculator.
I like that cultivation isn’t really competing with anything anymore, so it might be useful again…but Ysera’s Gift as a x2 feels horrible too. it should just be a x1 talent like cultivation imo.
i’d say put the extra talent point into nourish, allowing the extra rank to to refresh lifebloom like it originally did…that way it becomes more of a baseline heal that you may want to replace regrowth with (as your main direct heal) - and change the way you play resto compared to the other side of the tree…(if, for example, you want to play with one of the more lifebloom focussed healing styles).
x2, that is, it can be useful at the beginning of each patch (or the beginning of the expansion) due to the lack of stats that we will have, but then it will no longer have any relevance. I think it would be better if it were up to 5 or 7.5% from my point of view or replace it with another.
x3, I think it would be better instead of that gift from Ysera the Legion tier which was “When you cast Wild Growth, you have a 100% chance to cause Ysera’s Gift to heal a target 400% more frequently for 5 sec.” or give us a similar effect but nerfed like instead of 400% 200% and a chance of 75%

i agree for sure. One of the issues i have with talents like Ysera’s & Cultivation is that they’re boring…i like the idea of them having a more unique effect like what you described, when you invest into them.
not sure how cultivation would work, but i always thought if it left some sort of absorb for the amount healed (something reasonable, like empowered chrysalis power-level) it would be a bit more competetive.
Could it be… “Each cultivation tick has a chance to increase the healing of your next rejuvenation or Wild Growth by 15-30%”

They’re bad. Don’t force multiple talent points into one ability especially when it takes away from being able to put points in places you need…

I want to know why ysera’s gift is the only affinity passive not in the class tree. The place it should be, across from astral Influence, is a flat 6% healing with another 6% healing above it as the cyclone connector.
it should be moved into the neutral at the same threshold as all the other affinity passives. Then they could make some interactive talents for it in the resto spec tree where it currently is and other specs don’t loose their passive heal option.

I’ve searched and didn’t see this commented anywhere. My biggest concern with the current layout is the position of typhoon. Typhoon is crucial to guardian druids for weeks like sanguine in game. It would mean a bear would have to waste a ton of useful talents to get useless talents all to get to typhoon. I would suggest repositioning typhoon to something more accessible to bears.

I find it a bit dissapointing that theres over 15 talent points to spend on moonfire/sunfire uppgrades. In pvp a little dispel will remove all of those talent points whithout any consequense for the dispeller.

OMG THIS! It’s nigh impossible to take Hibernate, Cyclone, Feline Swiftness, Typhoon, Ursol’s Vortex/Mass Entanglement. Forced to take Balance spells to get to some of the spells I NEED.

This is an intentional nurf to druids singular utility. The fact that I on live can have demo roar and bash, and this talent tree I cannot because I have to choose between the two is directly nurfing the classes ablility in M+. In raid you don’t need to worry but in M+ as a tank you need all the utility you can obtain. You cannot create these trees thinking of what organized groups can accomplish. I almost always have to Pug tank and the utility of a tank is what keeps groups going more often than not. When going over these trees have in mind what utility a tank must have. Wild Charge was a baseline talent since Vanilla, demo shout since at least legion. And after Cata charge was made a talent…reasons? And now I have to choose between 2 very important m+ utility skills in bash and Demo roar, which I can have both on live. Again, utility is incredibly important, would like to see typhoon come in the middle so it is less costly and along with other tanks, all interrupts need to be and remain baseline.

I agree with you… I say the last thing you mention would be incredible if they added… total to the Hpriest they gave him talents in his healer branch to do dps (and that was expected more from a Disc priest not from a Hpriest)
I’m really interested to see how SoTF stacks with the group heal hot with it having so many talent buffs. Also the multi rejuvenation with the ability to LB two targets.
Mow is back but I wish it was 3% stat increase and maybe a 5% versatility to just be useful to all healing and dmg reduction but speed?

sounds like we’ll be very high HPS options in the late game yet again
i love that the lifeblooms aren’t weakened as in the current iteration in our legendaries
i’ve been waiting to play a lifebloom focused build for a long time…now if we can only convince them to improve Nourish
On live you can not have typhoon and ursol’s vortex both as a guardian or feral druid. In the DF tree you can have both. You’re not being entirely fair in your criticism of losing utility you currently have. TBF, mighty bash is absolutely expendable as a tank. Every melee dps and their grandmother has an aoe stun and a single target stun.

I think there’s still a good point though: druid is a utility class that comes with a GCD tax for shifting. It might not be felt at much in raid when you do pop a roar every two minutes, but in arena and M+ those GCDs can make a massive difference. It’s a fair trade though: lots of utility, but you have to pay some extra GCDs here and there when you want to do specific stuff.
The new tree treats druids like every other class and strips out their utility so they can buy it back (that’s fine, I like choices), but I think soothe and possibly hibernate could be moved baseline. Otherwise, we’re left with comparable utility but spending two GCDs for a bunch of it depending on spec.
Soothe is in a miserable spot and is a completely dead talent if there’s no enrage. Hibernate is pretty niche and making bears/ferals spend three dead points to get it doesn’t seem right. So it both fixes those issues and gives a little more utility back so the GCD tax is a bit more fair.

looks like they updated the trees a bit. i only got to play around with the calculator for a few minutes earlier, but things feel more expensive?
…and I saw they updated the dark titan’s lesson tooltip to reflect its current legendary version. still might be worth experimenting with if you absolutely have to play that side of the tree though.
