New Short Story Anthology: Crossroads

It is set in the wake of Xal’atath’s disappearance from Hallowfall, with focus on the likes of Thrall, Jaina Proudmoore, Renzik the Shiv, Faerin Lothar, Alleria Windrunner, and the Locus-Walker.

Hmm I can already hear people screaming Alliance bias. Like even the goblin in the short story is Alliance aligned.(I am glad Renzik will get some more story content before Undermine(d) ahem, ends his story)

Anyway, I cant wait. Now I wonder if they will do the same as the Voices Within and release all but one of the shorts on the website?

ALLIANCE BIAS!!!

Which is true. Alliance bias is real.

Listened to The Tipping Point. Not bad. Fleshed out the mean streets of Undermine pretty well.

I’m gonna listen to it after work while doing dailies. Sounds fun.

They say in the description of the book that we will have a story with the Locus-Walker, i suppose that one will be coming with 11.2.

Maybe.

After all Faerin Lothar’s short story was exclusive to The Voices Within.

Thanks for that I guess.

Ive been enjoying these short audio stories at work. Good to see more coming out.

I’m concerned about the release date for this. It’s releasing in November but the book takes place right after patch 11. I’m glad to have Undermine but I wonder if that means Blizzard intends it to be current content for 9 months.

Not neccesarily. I mean the “Voices Within” anthology was suppose to be stories set in pre-patch but it was just recently released.

Why there is such a huge delay I have no idea. You would think it should be released BEFORE the game patches are but apprently not.

I read “Crossroads” and automatically thought that the Horde was about to be relevant. Maybe it’s good they aren’t relevant; I’ve lost interest in seeing another evil Horde story where we lose more major characters that will never be replaced.

Would you rather lose cities that can ever be replaced? I’ll trade you.

Cities can be replaced actually.

I am so very much glad to know that I’m not alone in assuming a book titled Crossroads would have something to do with the Barrens!!

Does that package come with a whole patch dedicated to saving my replacement city? Because absolutely yes. Take out Thunder Bluff, and give us some nice, epic new tauren city. I’m totally okay with it. You can even have Stonard while you’re at it.

But pick one current leader of the Alliance to survive and one to turn evil until their missing piece gets restored to them to turn them “maybe sorta-kinda not evil now,” because the rest die when you swap to the Horde package. One even gets to die to a warlock pet!!

I’m very much fine with this trade.

And so can characters. New characters replace those that died.

New characters suck and nobody wants them. Something that doesen’t affect you of course since your OP team of Azeroths avengers never die to begin with.
