New Retail expansion OR Classic +

Figured I speak to an expert. There’s a ton of ya’ll Vulupas here.

I frankly find them a bit revolting, one of my main reasons to switching to Alliance.

Just yet another reason why I’m not liking retail as much, along with Evokers.

The Classic Andys all seem to think they will abandon Retail and “revamp” Classic.

It’s both funny and sad to watch.

And I agree, his fixation on furries is more disturbing than anything else here. Yeesh.

It’s just a playable race. Not like someone is doing something untoward to a poodle or something.

Lmao, you don’t know that.

The whole term, “yiff” was made just for them.

"Sexual attraction to furry characters is a polarizing issue. In one survey with 4,300 furry respondents, 37% answered that sexual attraction is important in their furry activities, 38% were ambivalent, and 24% answered that it has little or nothing to do with their furry activities.[43] In an earlier online survey, 33% of furry respondents answered that they have a “significant sexual interest in furry”, another 46% stated they have a “minor sexual interest in furry”, and the remaining 21% stated they have a “non-sexual interest in furry”. The survey specifically avoided adult-oriented websites to prevent bias.[17]

Another survey at a furry convention in 2013 found that 96.3% of male furry respondents reported viewing furry pornography, compared with 78.3% of female; males estimated 50.9% of all furry art they view is pornographic, compared with 30.7% female. The respondents to the survey had a slight preference for pornographic furry artwork over non-pornographic artwork. 17.1% of males reported that when they viewed pornography it was exclusively or near-exclusively furry pornography, and only about 5% reported that pornography was the top factor which got them into the fandom.[48]"

They probably are doing stuff to dogs, you just don’t see it lmao.

I’ve always been wary myself, and certainly not a fan of WoW being more furry-focused.

It’s just alienating to me.

Just saying, TONS of people out there eyeing those furry characters sexually, even if we aren’t.

And that’s disturbing, to me.

No, they will never ‘abandon’ retail.

But if RuneScape can do a Classic +, why isn’t Blizzard?

The dudes butt is so chapped because everyone pointed out his dumb so now he just resorting to personal attacks.

Get a life loser.

Someone sounds hurt, lol.

Relax.

I DO know that. Please point to where you see that in the game.

You’re equating two things in your head that are mutually exclusive things and being EXTREMELY creepy about it.

You may want to take a step back from this issue. I’m guessing posting stuff like this will not end well for you.

Hey, I’m not as creepy as any furry.

I’ve just done my research, and am wary.

Same as those games that design characters to look like children, attract a certain demographic. It’s creepy as hell, and I don’t like it, but Blizzard is gonna do what makes them money, regardless.

RuneScape didn’t do any sort of “Classic +”. The new version of the game was garbage so they brought the old version back and dropped the new version in favor of the old one.

Retail WoW, however, is and always was well regarded and still favored by a great many over Classic.

Classic was a money grab, nothing more. Blizzard saw the money they left on the table and finally decided to pick it up.

We know this is true because so many people surged into Classic then it dropped to about half the population in nothing flat. As that was happening, people were asking “When’s TBC, when’s Wrath?” and now people are going “When’s Cata?”. Where does it end? Classic Dragonflight?

Blizzard needs to take a step back and check themselves on Classic.

hopefully they announce classic+ because retail has jumped the shark

Well, if Classic ‘ends’ that’s a lot of people that will never go back to retail, no matter what, due to SL and just feeling ‘left behind’ by not having kept up with it over the years.

They’ll be losing money if they don’t keep some kind of Classic content going.

Classic Cata might be on the table, but it’s not very popular, even TBC was more wanted than Cata was, and we don’t currently have a TBC era Classic server.

And I don’t see them going into a Classic Cata-MoP-whatever, because they’ll just have two ‘retails’ going at that point.

I think they will announce some kind of Classic that has consolidated Cataclysm AND MoP, maybe into one expansion that comes after Wrath.

Idk for sure, but it’d be stupid not to have some already-made content just tuned and attached onto the Classic content treadmill. They could even take modern stuff and tune it down for a Classic experience, like Karazhan for lvl 60’s.

If people want to still play Classic, then let them. They won’t return to retail, so that’s money lost otherwise.

There are people out there that naively believe that RMT only began with tokens for some reason. When it was implemented to keep people from being ripped off.

Wowza. This whole thread went from a discussion about the likelihood of classic+ to the population of classic vs retail to this dude trying to imply that the game is secretly trying to groom children with the furry subculture. Fantasy humanoid animals have existed all the way back to Greek mythology and Japanese myths as well. But to just go all in on a tin foil hat conspiracy that the vast majority of players are into beastiality because the play as a Fox or Cow or Werewolf is truly a feat of mental gymnastics. I mean people have refuted almost all of your semi valid arguments so you decided to charge right off in to left field makes you seem like you never we’re arguing in good faith and we’re just arguing for arguments sake and to sow chaos. Yeesh

I see this referenced a lot. But the second image is not from retail WoW.

The character you are posting on is a goat…

It was cool and fine when we had one furry race, maybe two.

Now it’s half of the game, thanks to Dracthyr and Pandaren, the other half being elves.

I miss more original races.

I’ve got no fur, see? Skin. I’m more of a demon than an animal. Tiefling.

I just don’t like furries, full stop.

I won’t wish harm on them or anything, I just avoid 'em and interacting with 'em whenever I can.

Goats are a fursona. You can Google it.

Also there is a well known HC Classic guild that is called OnlyFangz.

My face isn’t a goat’s face. Otherwise, I’d agree.

I even have octopus features.

Octopus, isn’t considered a ‘fursona animal’ as far as I know, probably due to how hard it’d make a humanoid costume out of.

I love insects and bugs, but they aren’t seen as cute, and thus, no ‘furries’ of them exist as far as I know.

Scalies, sure, but nothing I play is one of those, either.

Furries exist to be cute, and I don’t like cute things that much.

If they allowed Nerubians to be playable, I’d play one of those.

But, again, only cute animals allowed, the ones I don’t like lol.

You are a space goat. That is who Draenei are.

Tendrils don’t make you an octopus.

You aren’t beating the allegations.

You mean all the “original” races based of Tolkien? Or the “original” races based off D&D? That kind of original? WoW borrowed super heavily from a multitude of other fantasy sources. There isn’t an “original” race in WoW, even the so-called furry ones you let live in your head rent free. Most of them are drawn from myths and legends across many cultures.

…?

You just add new content without changing the class or world design…

It’s not a complicated concept.

Everquest did something similar when they introduced Everquest 2 at the height of Everquest’s popularity. It split the games player base and then both games crashed and never recovered leaving WoW to continue to be the juggernaut it is. You are basically asking for WoW2. Classic+ would just be a new story and content past X expansion developed and maintained alongside a version of the game that is still popular and profitable that also is being developed and maintained.
