I think she left out where she wants them to be ‘prettier’ than blood/high elves.
I want a half-orc, half elf. Like Top half is all elf and the legs are orc. Or maybe a half-troll, half elf. Elf-face, troll mouth (and tusks), left arm elf, right arm troll, mid-section troll (with the hunch back), bottom and legs elf.
Lets make that happen.
How about a half gnome half Dranei?
A gnome with a tail and furry face? Sounds like a vulpera.

the alliance is nearly gutted at this point. we lost our raiding guilds, our m+ guilds and most of our pvpers, to the horde, and still no sign of the devs giving us high elves. the time to give us our request was back when they asked us what we wanted for allied races. they didn’t and in fact, made sure we understood they weren’t going to. and it seems they have stuck to that through out the decline of the alliance. i dont think they’re going to honor the request.
i thought, well let’s look at this logically. if its true the quel’dorei have diluted bloodlines, maybe they’re mostly half elves, but they still retain the title of quel’dorei and lore of the silver covenant.
this is the thing. the model makers and animators, could end up making some gorgeous half elf models for us, if the devs were willing to go this route. and we’d still have access to the lore and titles in this approach. the half elf offspring of the high elves, just retained the title to honor their forebearers, since the blood elves abandoned the title in favor of the sindorei title.
itd be a sore spot between the sindorei and the half elves, as they’d view it as the sindorei forsaking them, and the sindorei would view it as the quel’dorei forsaking them. never the twain shall agree.
Still wont be the fixer, people will still request what was asked for in the first place High Elves, the discussions / debates will continue on, the Half Elves never interacting with the Alliance until their release like the Ren’dorei through the 15 years of wow unlike or same way as the High Elves in the Alliance did, Half Elves will be just another AR that satisfied a little segment of the Alliance Community. (IMO)
I agree with you; there is nothing except a)putting Alliance High Elves in the game, b) forcibly converting the entire Silver Covenant to Void Elves, or c) putting some catastrophic battle into the game in which the entire SC is obliterated down to the last Elf that’s going to slow the very persistent roll of people who ask for them.

I wish DEVS would just make a decision one way or the other, Allow Playable High Elves in the Alliance, or take the High Elves out and away from the Alliance. Stringing the Alliance community along with them is just wrong.

They are free to use high elves for their stories as much as they like.
Just write the SC into the void elves.

Not hard either, have a horrible vision of stormwind occur. Alleria cannot ignore the voices anymore and begin converting everyone.

Again, I agree with you; we both know I prefer the second option - draconian as it is - to the first. I prefer remaking them into Void Elves as a less draconian option but I know that you and others will persist (and I’ve said in the past that I admire the persistence) until something dramatic happens to make it a virtual impossibility…and maybe even after that.

but they would be the silver covenant all this time so it wouldn’t be a sudden thing, lore-wise. they just didnt have models that reflected that. the only one that wouldnt be half elf is veressa, as far as silver covenant is concerned. and she is already in the process of raising her own half elf children. and alleria, who is both a high elf and void elf. she’s her own brand of half elf, it seems.
look at it in modern terms. we are all people of various genetic roots, all mixed together over the millenia. we retain whatever titles we most identify with and/or can be identified by, as far as our ancestors go. that’s how i’d view the half elves. they most identify with quel’dorei and thus call themselves that.
if they do that, we cant have half elves either.
Half elves could have been born before hand.
