Not only that, but Half Elves from the RPG books were in the Alliance players guide book. And Half Elves were planned to have a ranger unit in WC3 available to the Grand Alliance
If High Elves impede upon Horde identity, Half Elves should not

Half elves are canon and comprise the majority of Dalaran.
The only half elves wow tells us exist are allerias son snd vareessas twins.
In dalaran are belfs (sunreavers) high elves (the silver covanent) and the other none elf folks.
Who else do you think are half elves?
Not saying a hybrid race isn’t cannon. We just don’t have a large group of them and it would be a better use of time/resources. To give velfs/belfs greater customization to look like high elves. Well developing a new race from the ground up.
There are over a dozen other none hybrids blizz can choose from.
I don’t mean this to be dismissive but do you have a source for this?
It’s the only conclusion we can come to if 90 percent of high elves died in quelthelas and the rest of those became belves and the most important named high elf characters intermarried with humans. Dalaran is more or less a union of elves and humans.
What’s nice about Half Elves is that their population isn’t in canon anywhere. Its known that they exist and rare, but nowhere is it stated that the Windrunner kids are the only ones.
All Blizz would have to do is create a scenario in which a chunk of Half Elves gather. Done and done
I get the desire to ensure dev time goes into Void Elves, lord knows they need it, but I don’t see why both couldn’t coexist
Its silly to assume evey high elf was home when arthas came. High elves where stationed elsewhere. And jaina did heed Medivh. So she got some people out before it was too late.
Consider to thst not every high elf would have been willing to feed off fel crystal’s.
Now it’s possible more then the windrunner girls had snu snu with humans. But lore doesn’t tell us of any more then 3 hybrid elf/human children.
As far as we know the dilver covanent are high rlf survivors breeding at times only with their fellow high elves.
In all of wow lore there are only 5 main hybrid race characters. And the 6th has been retconned away.
Now i will give agree that between all the wars and conflicts. I am sure there where times where female fighters or civilians where probably captured and violated. But this is not openly dhown to us. Its just eluded to here and there.
99% of the population was home
i’m just saying, every main half elf character we encounter in cinematics and comics seems to be from or living in dalaran and we know helves are mostly extinct. I’m putting One and two together.
NO. MORE. ELVES.

But Half Elves are not entirely elf
I have seen so many of these post but I don’t understand it, a high elf would be a blood elf with a different race name, physically they are the same so what is the point?
That would be much easier to make than an Allied race which at least was a new skin.
High elves would just have to change the color of the skin and that is it, please don’t give ideas to Blizzard, now they are gonna makes grind rep for skin colors.
The topic says HALF elves. That is different from HIGH elves.
mghar orcs, Hm tauren, LF dranei, DID?
just the name because they look the same as bloodelves.
That mostly because there isn’t a need for thmt o have a new model. If they became playable, that would change.
And Arator would finally get a proper model.
Half elf, half vulpera.
Lore doesn’t say that. High elves where part of the alliance forces and thus stationed in other places.
Dalaran being rich in arcane magic would be a good place for high elves to go. If they refused to feed off fel magic.
We only have 3 stated half elves.
Lore does indeed state it.
Let us say you have 1000 elves.
90% get wiped by arthas.
That leaves 100.
10% of that just 10, high elves.
90% is 90, blood elves.
This means high elves make up 1% of the original population. Ergo, 99% of the race was at home and got kersplattered by Arthas.
