Ook the haters if they don’t want the Hozen.
I want Ogres, Naga, Saurok, High Elves… I want all the Allied Races (or whatever they call the next set of new playable races whenever they make some more).
Feed my altoholicism Blizzard and I’ll feed you money
steeples fingers while cackling demonically
Wow still lacks underground elf, a fantasy staple. No night elves/borne are not drow, we need them to live in caves!
Alliance:
Frost Dwarves need to be added, at the very least as additional customizations on the regular dwarves.
Krokul (Broken) as another race. Give them the same classes as Draenei, but minus Priest and Paladin and add Rogue and Warlock (because their mutation cuts them off from the Light, and it gives people that want “draenei warlocks” to have them).
Jin’yu would be alright, I guess. MoP and BfA types.
The tauren from Northrend would be nice for Horde. Added as new customizations for them. They did officially join the Horde.
I really wish the TBC Maghar were the ones brought over, not the WoD orcs, but I’m also biased. So, uhhh… I don’t know. Ogres seem a bit too big.
Gilgoblins and Hozen seem like good choices.
Neutral races… hmmm…
Arakkoa, probably? The ones from TBC because the portal to WoD was supposedly sealed and locked, and I really hate that Blizz decided to reopen a locked door for something “cool”.
I don’t see Kaluak, the sea lion people joining either side.
In my defense, the thing I shamelessly poached the list from didn’t have an Underground option.
So Taunka were actually in BFA, they were enemies you could fight in one of the Island expeditions, so that was interesting.
Hozen would be a great race, silliness aside. They have interesting lore behind them and a pretty unique model. Besides I want to be able to throw “mud” at my enemies
Underground Elves would be interesting. Could be a cool plot point where they’re fighting Nerubians and we have to help them out.
Now I really want a Hollow Earth…er…I mean Hollow Azeroth expansion!!
Underground Elves fighting Nerubians!!! Nerubians! NERUBIANS!!
I will always be salty how dirty they got done in Wrath, this could be the opportunity for Blizz to redeem themselves and have us fight or maybe join!??!?! A lost Nerubian empire and that would be cool.
The idea of insect fringe groups is growing on me. I would like Blizz to stick with the lore that most of them are fanatically loyal to the Old Gods, but it’d be cool to have an expansion where there’s a group trying to break away. I’d love to run around Azjol-Nerub as an entire zone fighting Nerubians alongside underground Elves or even a group of Mantid who are there to help them get their freedom.
Edit: Maybe not a whole expansion but as part of one.
With the old gods maybe dead?? There’s splintering with those that are still believers and others that are like, the old gods are weak time to find a new god and you could have friendly faction that you get to hang out with because bugs are neat
We’ll never get insect races because of how much of a pain they’d be for armor. Not unless we got a pretty humanoid base model.
Give me Jinyu or give me death. The landwalkers will finally get what’s coming to them.
San’layn and Man’ari for the Horde. Give the Alliance Broken and birb guys or something…
hey sint
hi sint
Man’ari Eredar in the Alliance, Fel Orcs in the Horde.
“BUT DAAAAAD”, you might say, “THAT’S 3 KINDS OF ORC AND 3 KINDS OF DRAENEI!”
ok first off, dont call me dad again. i’ll bleed you. second off, technically its just the demon hunter race. i know, i know. been over this before in ye olden times.
our eredar explanation goes somewhat like this:
“The Army of the Light has cornered a bundle of Fel-suckin’ bastards on some old Legion planet that got ripped apart by the current large scale and continuing collapse and civil war that is tearing the Legion apart. But for some unbelievable reason, Velen got them to stop from executing them. It turns out that not all is as it seems, and these eredar are quite literally brainwashed lackeys who never had a chance to make a choice.” Their starting zone is them fighting for their lives against the Army of the Light, then proving their skill and worth against the Legion remnants on that planet. When they get to Azeroth, Velen introduces them to the Illidari leader (probably Kor’vas for Alliance), and goes “Though your face elicits nightmares among my people and the people of the Alliance, so too did the Death Knights. So too did the demon hunters who came before. They will never forgive you, but you did not come here for forgiveness. You came here to fight, to live on. Make yours a legacy not of hatred, but of regrowth and change. The Legion’s end grows near, and you are a vital part in this. I wish I could’ve saved more of our brethren from their misguided course. Will you allow yourself to be rescued from the legacy of the masters of Argus, then? For all our sakes, I will believe it possible. Anything can be done through the Light.”
da orcs go like this:
“Returning to Outland is never a comfortable thing for the orcs of the Horde, and its even less comforting when they go for the reasons they do now. Garadar, long quiet as it tended to its own, sent a harrowing message to the Horde council. Not only had the Void begun to encroach on the decaying edges of the Outlands, but they’d seen the Fel Horde rear its ugly head once more. So color Thrall red and call him Kargath, but he didn’t expect to find red, black, and grey craggy orcs fighting the Void back with their minds intact.” The starting zone is a small warband of Fel Orcs doing their best to save their shattered world. They know they were responsible for this, or at least some of them were, as many of them were born with this deep corruption in their veins. Many more of them don’t remember the time before Fall of Magtheridon and Illidan. Either way, they’re doing what they can. Thrall and Jorin Deadeye eventually catch up to them and a skirmish breaks loose, before the Fel Orc leader manages to break tensions and tell them what’s up. Thrall’s genuinely surprised, but remembers when Grommash turned red and returned to his senses in time. He decides to give these orcs a chance, and they lead the Horde’s forces to battle against the rampaging Void horror that’s devouring Nagrand. Thrall then offers these orcs a tenuous place in the Horde, with Illidari oversight. He gives them a warning and a message, however. “The orcs have come quite far on our journey to separate ourselves from the monsters we were. Your corruption shattered our homes, our peace, and our destinies. I have made a risk accepting you into the Horde, a risk that my fellow Council members are hesitant on allowing me to continue to make. Though your actions prove you have worth to the Horde, and prove that you are no longer the slaves we all once were, I will not have your corruption return our race to darkness. You have much to prove, but you are still brothers. For the Horde.”
if you dont like this eat my spacedust
I really want the Ankoan and Gilgoblins more than anything.Would’ve preferred them over mechagnomes and vulpera really.
I would prefer if gilgoblins were just added as new customizations for existing goblins so we don’t end up with another lousy AR that have barely any customization options
Been thinking a lot about this ever since I read the thread here.
I really like the ideas/concepts put forward in that thread. The idea of Race > Sub-race (which should probably be called Heritage, IMHO) > Class > Customization means 1) more options for the player 2) less crummy UI and 3) like many folks have mentioned, no need to go “all in” on an allied race. Solely cosmetic changes are alright by me!
Also if Gnomes get Mechagnomes then Goblins should get Gob-borgs.
Cybercraft 40 ADP (After Dark Portal)
I want more “choose your faction” classes if we can’t get rid of the Horde vs. Alliance staple. Naga would be one of them based on Illidari preference.
Also I want stoneborn. Maybe not from the Venthyr, but I want gargoyles dammit. I wanna’ relive my childhood but in my own way.
I want Oracles for the Alliance and Goren for the Horde.
But specifically, I want them to face off only in a Rocket League-style game where they roll against each other in an attempt to push a giant soccer ball into each other’s goals and then I want that game to replace this game.
