New Overwatch lore [Spoilers]

Yeah…can you all cut it out with the “I hate Overwatch” “duuur Overwatch is a bad game” :o:-jerk. Don’t like the game? Fine I can understand why competitive team based pvp isn’t your thing, but why come to a thread about a game that wasn’t your cup of tea and take a huge steaming dump?

I get that this is a public forum and all and you have a right to voice your opinion but when it becomes a Debbie Downer echo chamber it gets really really tiresome.

the thing is tho im fine with competitive team based pvp it’s just overwatch is incredibly frustrating and horrifically not fun cause of really blatant issues with the roster

If you didn’t want a Debbie downer echo chamber you wouldn’t have posted this in the wyrmest accord forums.

I don’t even not like Overwatch, really. I mostly just don’t like Quick Play.

Honestly, my biggest complaint is that they didn’t do this like, two weeks ago, so we could continue the Overwatch tradition of Gay Christmas.

That’s pretty much my only complaint about OW. I love the 'verse, adore the characters, and enjoy the variety of playstyles but I wish they’d show the PvE side more love. I’m one of those players who only plays in vs AI and, man, between them moving it to the Training section & the Commendation system, I basically only play during events these days. :sob: I stay active in the fandom though.

well.
he’s gay.
congratz

Can’t say I liked who they raveled to be gay. Tracer I was always liked how they handled her, but this feels as contrived as a Bioware character or Shiro from Voltron.

Just happy it wasn’t Reaper.

I mean it was seeded ages ago and Reaper 76 was one of the biggest fandom pairings so like.

I have this theory that Blizzard sometimes takes queues from the fanbase at large, which given how disjointed the World of Overwatch is plays to it’s strength of being mostly background noise and so everything can sort of go buckwild and then Blizzard reaps the harvest.

I honestly don’t really get the hate it receives, I’m not trying to throw salt on anyone specific in this thread but it does come off as macho gamer bro talk when folks call OW a bad game or not a real shooter.

I don’t play OW because the moment that I saw it was an FPS game I knew it wasn’t for me because I don’t like FPS games. I think the characters are neat and the cinematics that Blizz puts out for it are really fun and entertaining. Yet I know the enjoyment I get from watching the cinematic won’t translate into the same enjoyment I’d get from playing.

Gamers by and large are a reactionary crowd who hate having to acknowledge that things other than Cishet people exist. Sure, they may not deny that they exist but they don’t ever wanna have to think about it. And so when they’re forced to actively think about it, it makes them angry.

This is how you distinguish people who say thy hate when people throw their “gayness in your face” when most of the times it means “gayness you can’t ignore”

So not one But TWO Main OG Overwatch Characters, one being the Flagship, is basically a Torpedo to the nice quiet space of not having to actively acknowledge gays that a lot of other games typically have.

I honestly have no idea what you said…

TL;DR

The More Gamers ™ Are Subjected to Explicit Representations of Gay Characters, the Angrier They Get.

This implies that Nathanos is Nicholas Cage, which is the most accurate thing anyone has said in this whole thread.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone describe a relationship as “contrived” and not mean “this makes me uncomfortable.”
