Uhh… victory for Sylvanas…?
Right…so back on topic I unlocked the Soldier and Vincent spray by having twitch on in the background and bought the Hangzhou Spark (light pink and blue) skin for him because its fantastic.
Pink Reaper is also glorious and I may have wasted another five bucks on that one too.
Hoo boy did the thread I’m reading go full dumpster fire.
The “homosexuality is a mental illness because they cant have children” and “whites built modern society” folks have arrived
The fact that the Jack and Vincent photo spray isn’t a loot box item upsets me, if only because it won’t pop up in the faces of bigots.
If I had a tinfoil hat on; I would say it’s almost like Blizzard is quarantining the relationship, and Jack’s sexuality, as optional knowledge with this twitch drop move.
Also, Ana’s new mask has a permanent >:3 face
The cynic in me thinks Blizzard dropped it as a distraction.
OT, though? I’m glad Overwatch has LGBTQ characters, now I just want to see Blizzard do things with that in game in ways that make sense/feel real. Walking around dressed like Liberace, crowing about how gay you are with a fireworks display going off in the background is, sure, something that happens/can happen, but it doesn’t feel as real as someone casually smooching their lover, or a voice line talking about how, “Oh, X is going to make me sleep on the couch for doing Y again…” Something that brings life and depth to the character, really.
So don’t just say they’re gay, show how they’re gay (and perhaps more importantly, show people that gay people are just as normal as everyone else).
yeah but I have to play the game to get it and that is too much effort…
Even if I got it, I never really play her unless it’s the Junkenstein event, so it’d be a lot of effort for nothing, really
I keep telling myself I wanna log in to play Ash but then I never do.
Yeah, Monster Hunter/FFXIV have been eating up all my free time so I just haven’t gotten around to it. I completely missed the winter event, even
I’d agree with this wholeheartedly. I’m happy that this sort of support has made it into Overwatch, regardless of why - normalize it. It deserves to be normal, just another part of reality that isn’t in question because of hatred or ignorance.
I learned what “twunk” means. Not sure I want to know what “poop sock” is, though from context I can guess.
I joke to several LGBTQ friends that the confusion they feel when they see advertisements targeting them because they’re gay is normalization.
“Are… are we a marketing demographic now?” Yes, you’re just as normal and boring as everyone else. I realize that comes across as a little harsh, but I long for a society in which nobody gives a good gosh-darn about your orientation, religion, skin color, et cetera, because we’re all equitable.
This thread went places.
Just be good to each other. Not because politics or whatever, but just because it’s basic human decency. That’s all I want.
Wtf you can use Gifs already?!
Yeah. You’re not that far off.
Yeah, he got to Trust Level 3 a day after the 50 day mark.
Alas, I never will. No gifs for me.
Not sure if I will either. Perhaps it’s for the best. I am not very trustworthy.
