Rowling made incidental mention after the fact when the Series more or less had wrapped up and when given the opportunity to expand on it in a way that would further explore her claims she more or less gave a resounding “Lol no”
Blizzard had made not one but two of their Prominent Characters gay well within the lifetime of the property’s Heyday and not in such a throwaway manner that they have to further elaborate. We have Tracer kissing her girlfriend-you can’t get much more cut and dry than that.
This would be like harry getting a Boyfriend in book 3 or 4

Alright, I tried to just let this go because this is an OW thread but I honestly can’t.
It obviously was not aparent to you via context (and me directly saying so as well) that I don’t care how people identify INDIVIDUALLY.
So maybe different words will help?
YOU (and I and everyone else INDIVIDUALLY) can choose to embrace the word queer to describe your own identity all you want. I never tried to say you couldn’t, right? Right.
What I DID say is it’s pretty messed up to insist that the Q in LGBTQIA+ stands for queer when not everyone in the community is comfortable with it. And that’s true on both counts.
Personally, I’m not comfortable giving people ammunition to hurt members of my community just because I’ve reclaimed a slur.
Maybe you have no problem telling cishets who ask that it stands for queer but you have got to realize when you do that you are saying that it is a community wide embraced term and it simply is not.
One person (or group of people) does not get to dictate how an entire larger group they are part of identifies. It’s not your (or my) call to make.
Honestly I can’t fathom being so attached to a word that causes trauma for so many that you knowingly and willingly ascribe it to people with trauma connected to it.
And, that’s all I’m saying on that subject because this is a thread about OW and Soldier 76, not reclaiming slurs.
