New MMO with Ghostcrawler

A. Ret bringing good dps does not mean that the Rogue brings bad dps. Both can thrive and bring their own unique utilities to the group.

B. Again, a Paladin wouldn’t be able to heal and dps at the same time. It needs to be a substantial choice. More damage or more healing? Spot healing would mean their personal dps dropping quickly.

Honestly, I’ll give it a go, in my eyes new mmos are win win situations.

If this LoL Mmo is great, something I can move onto, if it’s trash I still have WoW.

Regardless with these new MMOs on the horizon coming out I think it’s going to reignite the flame and passion Blizzard once had, they are too comfortable doing the bare minimum, so it’s healthy competition.

I’m looking forward to all the new mmos, outside of new world, not fantasy enough for me, I like races to play as.

I don’t know why they’re deciding to make an mmo, but all I know it is my god given right to make fun of league players and league of Legends.

Say what you will about LoL, but the way Riot treats its game and its community should be really eye opening for anyone coming over from a Blizzard game. Riot Games seems like they are still trying.

Blizzard has so much to learn from Riot Games, and I bet someone at Blizzard deeply regrets not being at the forefront of the moba uprising. Blizzard is to HotS as Microsoft is to Bing.

I hope WoW has a great revival, since I still love it. But realistically, it will never come, just like class balance will never come. The “World” aspect of World of WarCraft gets smaller and smaller, in favor of updates for microtransactions and other addictive, yet anti-fun profit-maximizing measures. You have to find creative ways to enjoy this game and cope with its flaws.

The direction they choose to go in is so frustrating, but I am rooting for them, because I’ll always remember loving the whole WarCraft franchise, as well as StarCraft, from when I was a lot younger.

Likely won’t be released for about 4-5 years if it ever does. But, once the time comes to see what they have to offer in it I may check it out. If it ends up like Amazon’s mmo then definitely will not try it. Amazon should probably stop making games since their shooter got shut down in what? 1-2 months after it launched? Now their mmo got delayed a year until the end of this year but imo the game looks and plays bad.

LoL? League of Legends?

No I don’t really like RIOT that much.

But I want to see what Mike Morhaime comes up with at his new place.

Depends.

Are they going to focus on the RPG elements?
Is the art style going to be solid? (Final Fantasy’s “all races are human with x slapped on” bores me.)
Is the end game PvP going to be ladder or grind based? If ladder based, are they locking simple expansion mounts behind hellish grinds or making the arena rewards actual arena rewards?
Are professions going to matter?
Are they actually going to have player housing?

They have a void elf like race I’ll probably try it out even if my major flags aren’t checked.

I actually don’t care about those things. I actually would be more likely to boycott a company if they started becoming too politically correct.

Wow… just… wow.

It depends. We don’t need more PvP MMOs. They all end up failing. Every single one of them. If we got a good MMO with a good focus on modernizing PvE, I would be all over it. No more raid focus - it’s not fun. 5 man content focus with proper progression, good story without endless AFK RP. If we get that, I’ll drop WoW in a heart beat. The last 4 expansions of wow have just been pretty bad.

I would drop WoW for a Pokemon MMO, seriously Game Freak where is it?

That game could’ve been saved if they had a different approach, but they doomed themselves with their designs and no casual allowed narratives.

21 days left on wow… depending on what happens at blizzcon I will pick up LOL and start learning the lore/characters and go from there… I tried FF14… it is sooo not for me (but modern wow lore is soo not for me too, I want warhammer/classic warcraft/LOTR ripoff style content).

Also GC was a great game director (or lead system design whatever) by comparison to today where no one really does that role.

I’m actually hoping for the opposite. They have the MOBA for the PvP fix. IMO it would be sad to see it end up as a forced-PvP MMO when the MOBA already exists for players looking for that.

Of course I fully expect PvP to exist. There’s no way it doesn’t. But I’m hoping they, at the very least, separate it in some way like WoW did with PvP Servers (or does with Warmode). Or maybe there’s certain PvP Zones that act as contested territory for that purpose. Anything to keep it an option for those who want it but not forced on everyone.

I’m well aware that Riot has built a pretty interesting world as background lore for League. I’d be excited to explore it if they made it welcoming to players like me who have extremely little interest in PvP.

Forced PvP is basically an auto-pass to me. I only really give BDO a pass because I can basically pretend its a single player game. I don’t play it reliably enough to be at the point where I’m at the “best” grind spots where people might actually PvP over the right to farm there unopposed.

Legend has it that’s the primary source where the worlds salt comes from.

Yeah but the LoL community is toxic when its a moba. I wonder if they will be more or less toxic with a MMO?

I think we both know the answer to that…

It has been years since I played LoL or had anything to do with that community…
do they still have the Tribunal system?

Why cant the PVP mode of the MMO be the MOBA? Remember when wow was going to build a battleground around DOTA… then they scraped it.
Edit: or when there was going to be PVP warfronts.

Just realized… all the tail fans will be happy… of course that MMO will have a massive furry incursion lol.
