Curious at least. Wildstar had former Blizz developers and though it was fun it didnât last long.
Not to be that guy but may I remind you that just because theyâre former Blizzard employees doesnât mean theyâll make gold. Remember that Andrew Brevik (one of the devs for Diablo) made Hellgate London and his Marvel game, both became commercial flops.
Also, just because itâs an LoL MMO, doesnât guarantee success (see SWTOR)
It will be pvp based, my interest is already gone.
Except this means you dont have to rerun the same dungeon a million tikes at different key levels to get what you need.
You get the item. Then Upgrade it. Course the item can still drop and vault still exists

MMO YouTuber Josh Strife Hayes made a video essay on why you CANNOT kill WoW. His thesis is that WoW is not just a mere game that was good, but it has transcended into a cultural phenomenon, and can survive via our nostalgia. That is why, despite the horrible things Blizzard has done to the game, it will survive. That is why games that are technically better cannot kill it⌠yet.
I believe LoL has enough of the subculture factor to be a threat to WoW. If youâve played League of Legends, you can probably appreciate how many things theyâve learned to do right in ways that make Blizzard look like a tired old dinosaur.
They aggressively work on the science of game balance, they actively communicate with the community, they try to innovate systems to reduce toxic behavior, and they donât let paid features creep into gameplay in ways that make it âpay to winâ. Blizzard developer honestly seem like arrogant old guys who just donât care anymore in comparison.
I believe Riot Games has grown to a point that their developer talent for making a mechanically smooth and polished game has surpassed Blizzard, and itâs the same in the art department. I prefer WoWâs style to Riotâs cutesy Asian / anime / Pixar style, but I believe Riot will always make a technologically superior game per polygon count than Blizzard now. That is why LoL > HotS, Valorant > Overwatch, and it is a very real possibility that a Riot MMO can at least be a much superior game, technically.

GC wasnât just disliked because he was known to be arrogant and dismissive of anyone that disagreed with his design choices.
my bad on that then. But still, folks need to remember that experience =/= perfection
and I keep saying this: Folks said the same thing about games like SWTOR, Rift, Terra and Final Fantasy. It didnât work for them, why would it work with Ashes?
Do people actually believe LoL is a bad game? Like poorly designed? Youâve gotta be insane to believe this. More likely youâve never played, or you did and got mad cause you got rekt by smurfs and you told yourself âGame sucks!â to cope.

They have 0 idea how to build MMO, they have 0 story, 0 things for actual RPG.
I will try it out like I tried FF14. But mostly they are doomed.
Nope. Riot is a scumbag company who I honestly donât feel like supporting anymore.
They have proved time and time again that they are not a company worthy of players support and investment.
I would love to still support GC especially with a new MMO, just not from that company.

It will NEVER be as polished as WoW is right now. They donât have MONEY (and time) to do it.
By the time itâs released we will already have new WoW expac to play.
I hated GCâs BTPNTC methodology in Wrath and even though that was good, Cataclysm was an unmitigated mess afterward.
However, if the LoL MMO is based off MoP methodology, which remains the best class design in the current post-Wrath WoW, it should be ALOT of fun. He had really hit his stride and Blizzard should have retained Greg at that point. Aside from Legion after Nighthold, WoWâs class design and AARP design intent is not very good.

It should be a ânewâ design, so probably something emulatinmg shadowlands which is by far the most finished and polished expac of WoW

Has B.E. done some questionable things? Yes.
Has Riot Games been sued multiple times over the past several years for allowing sexual harassment to occur in their workplace, allowing retaliation when someone files a complaint? Yes.
