You do realize they could add a recolor leaving the legion ones still exclusive.
Yet you’re ok with mythic raid sets being recolored.
I’m not crying at all and actually more in the middle. I can assure you my chars title is more exclusive than your artifact appearances.
It just takes out any inspiration I have to even try it, since the armors and recolors are pretty atrocious, and only relevant if you’re trying to go with that whole look, whereas weapons are very versatile and can be used with multiple outfits and therefore highly sought after.
If the outfit for your class doesn’t interest you, what reason do you even have to take it on? If you can rationalize giving away the druid form with a new skin, than that same logic can apply to the weapons. It’s just a huge letdown for me tbh.
Nope the models themselves are exclusive so recolours are out of the question. Also funny of you to try out words in my mouth but I think mythic sets should only be available until the tier ends and then you can’t get them again.
You kinda are, if you’re looking to make an item I have no longer be exclusive - I like I earned something time-locked, lord knows those opportunities are few and far between.
Having some unique items to go for is not the bane of existence, it’s healthy in my view - and he is raising a good point.
Anyway, despite all that - recolours wouldn’t make me feel like they went back on their word - and I think would placate all of these people lobbying for it.
the reality is, people are trying to do just that.
we were sold the mage tower appearances as limited time, exclusive items. now a bunch of people are demanding that change because they didn’t do it at the time.
Like… I’m all for blizzard not removing things from the game - but if something was advertised as limited time, and we acted accordingly - it needs to stay limited time.
going forward? don’t do more limited time crap.
give us recolors of things that no longer exist.
but don’t bait and switch those of us who did it because people who didn’t decide later on that they want the appearances.

They weren’t hard and they aren’t super exclusive. The issue isn’t they are exclusive. The issue is they are some of the best models in the game.
This is coming from someone that has some of the tower appearances.
But you fail to recognize that since they are bring it back, why not bring it all back? It just seems so silly to be so arbitrary in what pieces and parts get brought back.
And I am happy for you that you busted it to earn those rewards. I wish I would have been playing then, too, to do the same. But I wasn’t and I didn’t. But now that I am playing and they are bringing the MT back, why not give me the opportunity to earn all the rewards that were available then, in some form or fashion?

Blizz is literally reusing a model for the werebear so it’s actually not out of the question.
Then you would be part of the minority.
For a game that has been going on this long, it is so hard to even play by this type of model though as many didn’t play at the time. and now they bring back part but not all, it just feels cheap.

So the solution is simple Blizzard needs to make new cool looking models that way all of us can earn something new and cool, bringing back time limited items is not even a good solution because only those who didn’t get it benefit from it and they break their word to all of us who did. Advocate for new awesome stuff we can a benefit from.

Then we disagree. Because the issue, to me, is that they are exclusive. “This is going away. You have until the prepatch to get them.” ← This makes them exclusive. This should remain true. We were told this, we were informed multiple times.
Someone not being around or not playing, while unfortunate, does not make a deadline suddenly vanish. I did not get WOD CM’s. I do not deserve an opportunity at them now because a combination of my life, and my current availability didn’t let me play much during WOD, and I had no real motivation to get them done. Should I be made an exception? No.
Same logic here. This is coming from someone who has multiple MOP CM sets, and all 36 mage towers. I absolutely love to collect everything I can. I am a collector. It’s the best feeling in the game for me. It is the only reason I get duelist is to get all the weapons and as many of the colorations of the duelist version as possible.
But when the season’s over? That’s it. When the mage tower ended? That was it. When Legion prepatch hit? That was it for WOD CM’s. And that’s okay, in my opinion.
Doesn’t that kind of apply to both camps? I mean one side says “Hey I earned this when the content was current!” and the other is “Well I want that shinny thing you have that I don’t!”.

The compromise isn’t even that as it is only one piece of one part.
I would love for them to actually make enough cool looking gear that fits into the general aesthetic of all their classes every expac, but sadly, that seems to be one of the lowest concerns on their list.
Not sure how to get that to change.
Just add one recolor per spec for appearance. That’s as good as people should get, and only because it makes literally no sense to give guardian druid a recolor and give nobody else nothing.
Simply put - time sensitive means time sensitive. That is the only truth that matters. Not how I feel. Not how you feel. Not how little Jimmy feels. None of how “someone feels”, or what they wish, or if they’re gonna get upset, or whatever. None of that matters.
Yea I agree, personally I think it was a huge mistake for them to bring the bear back because I knew people wouldn’t just be happy that they threw them a bone they didn’t need too and that everyone would be up in arms. They should just let only people who earned the original bear skin from the MT be able to unlock the new one that way this whole thing can die.
I can get why they’ve felt like they need to compromise but it still sucks. Everything like you said should just be brought back and able to be obtained but if they really need to have some stuff be unobtainable have it only be 1-2 things not most of it.
I love the new colors, but it just sucks we also can’t get a lot of the old ones. Complaining about exclusivity on literal cosmetic items is just dumb - let people collect what they want to look cool. If you want to boast about something you have that was hard to get do that with achievements because that’s literally what they’re for.
