Yeah that would be fine. I’m honestly excited for the tier 20 recolors as rewards though. The warlock, priest, shaman, rogue and paladin sets look super cool, so I’m glad they did that. I don’t think the mage tower is a let down at all, I’m excited for it.
Because these are the same thing, actually. One is from the side that has earned it, while the other is from the side who has not. It’s like when a peasant goes up to the king and says “I can do a better job than you” – or the same method as those who have not earned much money telling those who make tons of money “We need to share all our money” while those who earned their money say "No, I earned my money. You have no right to it:
Same concept, but with skins and transmog here.
Because they were earned when they were earned in a time exclusive event. Again, people keep not seeing the point of a promise here, and think nothing of blizzard just breaking their word. Stop trying to get the company lying even more. We care about their reputation and the way to start restoring it is through small things like this.
You should try reading then. People have been asking for recolors.
Actually, most keep asking not for recolors but the exact skins. Maybe in this thread they ask for recolors, but in a lot of the other threads they want the exact rewards from MT in Legion.
When you suggest recolors, often times it is met with backlash, too, and “u mad bout ur pixels bro?!” kind of replies.
Most people I have seen in multiple threads are asking for the same model but different colors
You may enjoy the same tier set colored 3 different times but not everyone does.
Other than the bear form mage tower is fine
The werebear is fine.
They’re not the same in terms is selfishness and being self-centered.
The first group is all about excluding people when a sense of “earning” isn’t even a part of the reward - which imo, it should be.
The second group just wants the opportunity to earn rewards themselves. No selfishness, no exclusivity. Just - it would be cool to be able to earn something in a video game.
Those are NOT at all the same in many ways.
This is true- which I think is why people don’t take Blizzard’s promise to mean anything anymore - especially when whatever their “promise” is composed of includes a sense of arrogant, selfish, “neener-neener”, and exclusivity.
Being earned during a time exclusive event that comes back just doesn’t mean much to a lot of people - and for those that it does mean anything to, well that’s where those negative self-centered aspects come into the picture.
It doesn’t go both ways.
They’re the same thing.
The first group is about keeping exclusivity because of the premise it was advertised and said to be, the fashion of expansion only and going away/being removed entirely for good once the expansion was done. So yes, they should stay exclusive when people are under that impression.
It is selfishness still, as you want it and it’s still “gimme gimme” – so again, yes. The difference here is one has what the other wants and the other does not have it.
They are, actually, the same.
Agreed, but it all starts at some point and keeping to this can be a START to restoring their reputation as a company. We have been lied to many, many times and people are just prone to throwing things out to make them break their word. They’ve done it themselves many times, too. However, I think that to start to restore their reputation back to what it was known as, keeping to your word needs to happen.
It’s negative all the way around.
It does, one just doesn’t see that. The other sees it from both.
I don’t, I wasn’t playing during legion. Don’t have them.
But I guess it’s to this point.
You need to give Timmy his toy back.
It doesn’t matter that you want to play with it, it’s not your toy.
And you can’t force Timmy to play with your toy so you can play with his.
This is how both sides are. They’re both greedy, and both selfish. One has what the other wants, and the other doesn’t want to share, regardless of the reason. Both are greedy, both are selfish and entitled. One just knows it and the other doesn’t realize it.
Both call eachother greedy and selfish, but only one side doesn’t actually realize they’re just as greedy and selfish.
This only works both ways if you don’t believe in ownership or respecting other peoples property.
I never saw them as being self-ish. But I’m still in favor of not letting them have it. They didn’t play back then, they should get punished.
For me, the skins and xmogs mean nothing in terms of raw value to me even though I was able to blast through a ton of them back in Legion. “Time exclusive” yea yea- really, no one cares.
But I care about having others punished and keeping things from them. THat’s why I never wanted the rip cord pulled. Punish the players that don’t play the game correctly.
If you want the mage tower skins get in a time machine. Not because it devalues anything I did - because what I did wasn’t challenging. Not even because I value “time sensitive” stuff. Just because players get to cry and complain because they can’t play and enjoy this game.
#Don’tpullthemagetowerripcord
Yet I was and have some of them.
So in reality you don’t have a valid opinion on them.
Even more terrible examples from you.
You don’t own anything in game.
That’s fine, you are you. They are still just as selfish since the entire argument behind it is based on “gimme gimme” or “I want” which both are centered in greed, meaning selfish.
A lot of us do care about that actually, and that’s a lot of why a lot of us say no to the same exact skins. I don’t care much for transmog, either, but I do care for people keeping their word, both IRL and in game. If you say you’ll do something at X time then I expect you to be doing that thing when X time comes. Same thing with companies, too. If they say something, I expect them to hold true to their value. Some companies do and some do not, which is fine, and those are my expectations not anyone else’s, though.
I never wanted it pulled either, but that was because I believe in permanence above all else. If you decide to make your character X covenant, you should have to make a new one to try out Y covenant, once you hit 60 and get through the main campaign and all that. Talents should have been permanent, too, as should your spec. Nevertheless, though, that’s again my philosophy on things.
I don’t care much for punishing others, I just want there to be permanence and stuff is all.
I agree with you on this def.
They do have a valid opinion on them, as does everyone.
It is not a terrible example, it is a good example of how both sides act towards one another. A shiny new toy that the other wants to play with but the one who owns it does not want to share it.
Not really.
Actually it is. I’m actually in the middle. He is the one comparing it to someone breaking in your house and stealing them when asking for recolors at the mage tower.
I posted a thread with a middle ground solution, basically since there are 7 mage tower challenges
add a vendor like in WoD’s weapon challenges
if you completed a challenge, u can buy the appearances of that specific challenge on ur alts
like won the tank one back in legion? u can now buy all the tank ones from a vendor. the point being you did already earn the challenge same way as u only had to do the challenge mode in WoD on 1 toon and got all the wep mogs, dont see ppl whining that how come a mage got to unlock a sheild mog and all the other mogs.
so much envy on these forums
wtb new models/skins/etc to make my char my way
Completely new stuff > the old weapons
