Same boat here was leveling the mage last night after raid and only have 5 resets to last 7 more hours. I love being told how to play something that I pay for.

There have been reports of people being locked out of raid already.

It’s 30 in a rolling 24 hour period. So if you plan on running 5s hard core on a raid day, don’t do any the night before. Nights before a raid if you’re off the entire raid day and don’t have to work will have to be PVP BGs. No real way around it. Either that or farming out in the world.
I believe this is already “in”.

So for anyone wondering I hit the 30 instance cap yesterday. After waiting all night and for the daily “reset” I logged on to continue farming SGC and guess what. I still can’t go inside BRD because I’ve recently entered too many instances. Keep in mind I started yesterday 12pm server time and it is now 12:43 server time the following day and my lockout hasent been lifted. This is really pissing me off big time. This was sooo poorly thought out they didn’t even place the lockout in the raid tab along with all the other lockouts. What is this sloppy S***???

Does it tell you why specifically? I.e. 5 or 30 limit being breached? Because if it doesn’t, it confirms my theory that they don’t care about their customers at all. I don’t think this is the fault of the actual UI designers, as I’m sure they could come up with better UI for this, but someone higher up who felt humiliated by the bots videos that recently came out, and then overreacted.

No it does not show the lockout anywhere, I have no clue when my lockout will be lifted. Ohhh and the best part is that I need to go burn a instance cap JUST TO CHECK IF IM NOT CAPPED.

The saddest part is I could intentionally reach the 30/d limit within less than an hour of actually playing.
5/hr can get locked out within about 5 min when rare fishing. So 5 min of playing every hour for 6 hours and never get the rare I want to spawn, then I’m locked from even joining my guild in a raid…

You know, next to the real ID fiasco back in the day, this might be the single dumbest idea Blizzard has come up with, this will genuinely hurt a lot of legitimate players, myself included. Coupled with no way to actually track this instance cap, I can’t actually comprehend the level of incompetence needed to allow this type of change to make it past the brainstorming stage.
Then again I can’t say I’m entirely surprised with it, you guys aren’t exactly known for leading the charge in brilliant ideas anymore.

(The problem is with this entire Hotfix is its supposed to help with Exploits to pathing. It does not help, in anyway shape or form. If they wanted to fix pathing issues they could’ve spent some time and changed the dungeons that are being abused the most, examples - ZG,ZF,MARA. But instead they literally give us a hotfix that effects more of the playerbase, even if its a small amount. It does not effect bots IN ANYWAY. Bots will go to multiple realms and farm there. Asmon and plenty of other big youtubers agree on this point. If they wanna get rid of boosting than theres other ways to do that. THIS IS NOT THE WAY.)

I help people attempt getting HoJ & SGJ for nothing, but to spend time nuking mobs.
I no longer have the luxury to do that when I can easily force my 5 raid instance counts ((UBRS for buffs) BWL, MC, ZG, Ony) off that table.

Bots that originally had 1 bot they used 24/7 on one server now will have 4 bots across 4 servers so they can do 6 hour rotations and still have that account going 24/7. Right now what you’re seeing in the world is thousands of new bots being made to bypass this.
So yes, this actually is going to quadruple the number of bots made.
