New Instance Limit in WoW Classic

I’m truly hoping that due to the fact this post isnt pinned, that it is being reconsidered already. Or was some sick joke to begin with.

Funny, I keep thinking this is a pretty simple trap to make sure it’s a bot.

If its not a joke it’ll be reverted within two weeks

i will wait 1 more day, who know maybe blizzard will revert that garbage. Im not a big fan of seeing even more bots going outside of dungeon and going to all high lvl zone plucking all the already scarce herbs, mining every node. and killing everything they see fit to make golds. If they stock pile on those and do not put it at the ah, it will make the price for everything a raider need skyroket. Expect those major mana potion to hit a even more ridiculous price , flask and more will just go sky high.

It good to make change when you they do not see the bigger picture. (or they just want some quick $$ and do not care for this game anymore)

This whole thing is to set up WoW token.

It is a joke- specifically Blizz’s April Fools Joke from 2006. Only this time nobody’s going to laugh.

This will also hurt almost any attempts at forming groups. Now people will think twice about joining dungeon groups if they’ve done any sort of farming earlier in the day or the day before.

Warrior or rogue looking for groups for Anger/Arena run(s)? Nah, not using one of my instances to join that group.

Guild mate need assistance with that final boss? Nah, sorry, can’t risk it. I need to make sure I can raid.

Wanting to level an alt? Nah, not going to use my instances on a character that isn’t really doing anything.

In sorry but you don’t get to take my money and also tel me how much time I am allowed to play the video game each day. So pick, you want my money and loyalty to your game or do you want a game that hats all bots rotating between servers every 6 hours?

Blizzard is too full of itself to immediately reverse even the most moronic of decisions. They have an issue with owning up to stupid mistakes. I’d Imagine they’ll let this sit for about a month before they go back on it and claim they took the necessary time to review community feedback etc.

I did some ZF farming on my mage yesterday, woke up did a lil more and now my whole server is locked out. I cant play my mage to do dungeons or raids with my friends, had to tell them today I cant make the raid cuz im locked. I cant even play my rogue on the same server because hes locked out 2.

Unsubbed.

I support this change. I have yet to see a good response as to why this should not be implemented. This will reduce the exploitative gameplay and is welcome by me and anyone else that doesn’t like to see so many players abuse game mechanics.

Nice ratio.

what time does the reset happen? server time?

This. It’s precisely what they did when they split BG groups in half and barely anyone supported it. Took OVER A MONTH to be reverted. AND we never got a SINGLE reply from blizzard, not one blue post. The entire time.

it a 24h timer each instance

I won’t be surprised if it hits #1 in a week.

Congratz on figuring out how to work the old hate machine.
99% sure that’s the intent at this point, blizz.

Economy is a bit more complicated than that… Prices will fluctuate, sure. But in the end, I don’t think the changes made will significantly impact that (unless, you’re trying to protect those who’re botting and really changing the supply chain.)

I’ve been around the gaming world for some time now… no need to explain. Power leveling, like what happens in Diablo 3 is not always a fair comparison. Arguably, there’s very little need to have “groups” in Diablo 3. One can easily solo their way to max level. No enemies or quest will require a group if you’re playing at a reasonable challenge level for your gear. In Diablo, the endgame content is the pretty much the experience. World of Warcraft makes things a bit more complicated. The intent of the game was to encourage this so-called “social” behavior that I hear so much about (I’m looking at you, “premade” defenders!) Forming groups to tackle elite quests and to run dungeons is an integral part of the game, pretty much from level 10 on. A primary argument against boost groups is that it really makes it hard for many of those who want to continue enjoying the game as it’s designed.

In the end, all I’m really hearing here on the forum is “I want things to be handed to me.” Be it from boosts, inexpensive rare crafting materials or PvP rewards.

do we have any confirmation on this? that would be great because then i wouldnt have to worry about getting locked out of a raid

More likely they’ll make a post soon saying they did a bot ban wave to try to take off heat, and to give their white knights something to drown out criticism with a wave of blind praise. I already know the narrative ‘see, Blizz does care and this change is helping them ban bots!’ like they’re a bunch of Kotick’s puppets.

thank you!
