If you could have been bothered to use the search function instead of making the quadrillionth duplicate post about this, you would have found at least a dozen sophisticated arguments against a new graphics or models toggle.
Modern wow animations and models remind me of some 1920s rubberhose cartoons. Not really a fan personally. The older models and animations had more character and “WoW” feel.
You nailed it. Not that I make it a point to look at forsaken butts, but while playing one in the trial I could not help but notice it sloshed around like a singular water balloon. That and they appear to have removed the option of making forsaken look like actual corpses. You cannot even choose a face without a nose anymore.
as regards toggle: because i am playing a game with a shared common experience. if i wanted to play a game where you can, without my permission, change the way my chosen model appears, i’d do that. but mmos are shared common experience. we are given a character selection screen with the intent that the character we choose will appear as it does in the character selection screen to other players (barring armor/weapons and other modifications that have no direct bearing on the model’s face. frame or animations)

2. toggle continued: have you seen the new gnome female running animations? they change the way the character runs so much so that it nearly ruins them. for example, the new female gnome no longer runs like a small adult but like a toddler. why would i want someone else to toggle that so that now they see my character like a 3 year old instead of a short adult? lol

3. toggle continued: the new models have their own animations different from vanilla but only room in the engine for one animation set for each model. this resulted in them using new animations with vanilla textures on the toggle, which caused weird stuff to happen, basically ruining the vanilla models.

4. though the newer models have much better hair textures and detail, the faces lose their personality.
