Battle Tags are more anonymous then characters.

I mean, if Blizzard decides to show both the character name and the battletag associated with a given character, people can instantly call out people trying to sockpuppet themselves provided they’re not using multiple battle.net accounts to do so.

BattleTags are already implemented in World of Warcraft.

See: Plunderstorm, which uses your battletag (without the 4-5 digit identifier appended to it) as your ‘character’ name.

BattleTags are already implemented in World of Warcraft.

but we do not need them in mmorpg forums. also if blizzard wanted they would have implemented this by now.
