If you have a standalone account you impersonate whoever you need to be to get into a guild, again it is a commitment to go that far just to stalk someone but it is possible.
But you can do that today, already.
How does specifically posting with btags on the forums make that easier?

You do know it is the characters that get invited to the guild, not the BNet account. My characters are in a guild, not my BattleTag or BNet account.
