Iâm just curious about the details of the desire to post anonymously. Sometimes those are more interesting to me because thatâs where the devil likes to hide. And hide and seek is a simple-mindâs pleasure from time to time

donât worry Iâve read most of this thread and youâve only lost it twice. Not bad in my book. Still donât agree and think itâs a bad idea, but youâre allowed to bring it up.
Thatâs gameplay though, not a forum, that has no bearing on anything at all.
Your argument about anonymous message boards without subscriptions? Well, comparing a message board to in-game chat is even less relevant. Or does logic not apply to you if it doesnât fit your story?

anonymous posting is a great idea for most people. Many would like to have this an option . it would be optional.
Yeah, see, these are the questions Iâm interested in. The mechanics that create and perpetuate anonymity so we can better understand where theyâre coming from.
Amusingly (to me), if they were anonymously posting and had unlimited characters named âanonymousâ with which to do so, our ability to find meaningful consensus may be greatly diminished. Heck, one could even undermine their own OP by posting contrarian responses to meld the flow of discussion.

Forums are more or less all-or-nothing. OW/Diablo/HotS, all those forums use BTag posting. WoW is the only outlier. Also, you keep repeating the same line doesnât make it true.

you can, thee is a way to check profile despite being set as private. Anonymous posting would prevent that.
I tried being polite and asked for actual discussion.

Yeah youâve stated that multiple times⌠It will never happen on the forums. The most cost effective solution for them would be to implement bnet posting like they do on all of their other games. It would also make it so all of their forums were exactly alike. At this point Iâm pretty much done with you directly. Youâre nothing more than a troll.

If everyone was posting anonymously without any way to confirm they were unique perspectives, how could one prove this? If we could prove there were many different folks posting anonymously, then itâs not true anonymity, right?
