New cheetah druid form revamp

It really gave me this vibe:

I’m not sure if it’s cause it looks like a smol bean from the picture.

It looks like a Lisa Frank cheetah
Too cute
Needs to be more realistic

I am ok with the cheetah, but the Doe form looks like some hairless creature from hell, fix that instead.

Why don’t they play poker in the jungle? Too many cheetahs.

Aye, Its WoW I didn’t expect a photo real cheetah. :stuck_out_tongue:

This is a massive improvement and I’ll enjoy it enough. Good on Blizzard for bringing this forward.

Same.

Also I like this as a Tauren travel form more than the brown buck.

WoW has a lot of exaggerated features so I’m not surprised. Its a good improvement.

Just let us tame druids

I like my does!

It does bear a small resemblance to lynx and bobcats, though it’s not stocky enough and the tail is too long. It feels like they mixed features of multiple wild cats with that of a cheetah.

But how cool would it have been if it did look like a realistic cheetah? I love them so much.

There’s a good chance it might. The Cheetah models are shared with the ones you see that are tamable but I dunno how true it may be for this day. They could very well isolate the model ONLY to Druid forms.

I only speculate because a lot of the models they touched up, like the ghouls and zombies ended up being affected and applied all over, especially apparent in Duskwood’s Raven Hill graveyard.

I’ve been pretty vocal about getting a new cheetah form but I’m not sure what that is I was looking at. If that’s what is passing for a cheetah, the art team needs to take a field trip to the San Diego zoo and see one in person. It’s a nice model and all, sans all that silly jewelry on it, but it’s no cheetah. Ears too sharp, tail shouldn’t flair at the end, front legs way to muscular…I guess it’s something but I think I’d just rather have the old model touched up over this…whatever it is. If we go from the old cheetah form to this, every time I see it I’ll be thinking:

The Warcraft animals have never perfectly resembled real world animals.

Look at the in-game bears and lions.

Goodness, is this gonna be the Druid Kitty Form Drama 2.0?

When the new Cat form was mined in the Cata beta (or was it late WotLK?), people lost their minds. So many people thought the new lion form “looked like a bull terrier dog,” and actually preferred the old lion model.

Old tiger model vs the new one. Is the tiger still cartoony and in WoWs visual arthouse? Sure it is but when you look at the new model you know it’s a tiger.

I was hoping for something in the vein of this for the cheetah form, something that actually resembles a cheetah to the eye, with WoW’s cartoony filter applied. Heck, to be honest I was really being a bit greedy hoping for a brand new skeleton for the revamped cheetah form that Blizz could then use else where. Like I said, this datamined model is nice, but it’s no cheetah lol.

Lol!

And the sad thing was, original bear form was still miles ahead of the original kitty form.

I’ve had unsubstantiated reports that this might be the legendary chupacabra. Once I find an expert on them I’ll be able to verify it for the community. Until then keep your doors locked and your children close…
