New cheetah druid form revamp

If they even remember those are supposed to be a thing. We’re nearing the end of this expansion and haven’t seen a single new one.

And this Bobcat does?

Which is the cheetah?

You tell me since you’re a Zoologist now

One on top is a leopard on bottom is cheetah.

Gonna tell you the same thing I did before, eye test.

Gonno refer to it as what it’s referred to in-game

How?

I’m asking that sincerely.

The model currently in use has massive paws (much more lion-like), a stocky body like a tiger, had a horrendously sloping nose (which cheetahs don’t have), a tail that resembles nothing of a real cheetah’s, and had leopard spots.

This new model?

It’s got a more properly-shaped head (even though it’s still a bit big), and its body is slim and lean like a real cheetah (look at the slope from its ribs to its belly), its paws are much more appropriate sized, its tail is accurate, AND it’s got actual cheetah spots — including the “king cheetah” stripes on its back!

(Look up king cheetah. Gorgeous creatures.)

…and of course, in the time I wrote this, I was beaten to the punch.

But seriously, this new model is much closer to a real cheetah, which more than satisfies me! WoW’s creatures always have unique spins on them — they’re never 100% replicas of real life animals.

I like it and while I wished it looked more like a real cheetah, I’m giving it a pass because Azeroth is a different planet.

It looks more like a Lynx or Bobcat to me.

Not sure why you’ll are getting all up on my fur about this, but it’s kinda funny.

We shall call this the Cheetakeeping.

Huh? This is my only post on the subject. :no_mouth:

It’s not a dig at you, it’s just the situation is funny

Ah, I see.

Btw, this is a king cheetah. It’s the one with stripes.

As you guys can see, I think the WoW artists made the Warcraft version of cheetah a mixture between the regular cheetah and the king cheetah.

But really, I just want you guys to see the picture.

They’re beautiful creatures!

I really love the feline family in general. My sister has an outdoor ginger cat and it’s adorable (except when it has a bird in it’s mouth then I’m like ok I guess that’s it’s thing).

That they are and thank you for showing off my favorite pattern Cheetah’s can have. >.>

It doesn’t look exactly like a cheetah to me either. Its build is too heavy, the face is too long and the color too dark, plus the ears are all wrong. But I’ll take it over the old model and still like it.

It looks like a cat, not some art student’s first attempt at using photoshop.

Cheetahs are my favorite of the large cats, and have been since I was in elementary school.

So yeah, I’m thrilled about the revamp. I’ve always hated the old Druid “cheetah” form, which looked nothing like a real cheetah.

That thing looks like it was modelled after the Cheetohs mascot.
