New Belt is a dps decrease

The problem with using stat weights is that they’re extremely vague / misleading when dealing with low granularity. Between hard coded DR, relative DR, and goal oriented stat distribution (Most common with haste but can also happen with other stats), simply multiplying the average amount of stat a proc provides by its weight DPS value from a weight / step sim will often lead to extremely inaccurate results.

Well, do they play boomkin

Oops I got them mixed up. My bad.

yes, i understand that. they shouldn’t be used for gear decisions. i was just trying to point out that they’re not “wrong” or “bad”. probably shouldn’t have bothered!

since the average player’s ilevel isn’t anywhere near 691, the belt is a massive boost for the vast majority of players.

I mean, take a fresh 80, get the 658 siren ring, this belt, and lfr/cartel chip trinket, a nightfall trinket. buy a bunch of 603 stuff off the AH and you are off to the races.

the belt is catchup/transitional stuff, not unlike the anulet.

How do you run a sim to take your proper belt enchant? I usually quick sim but that only uses Charged Bolts which is of course a downgrade now.

I’m pretty confident the DISC is my BIS well into S3 because, y’know. Up to 15k crit is kinda nuts. Goes up to 91% with all procs and pot pumping.

You have to equip the belt ability ingame, then use simc to export into raidbots and it will sim what you’re using instead of default bolts

Bm uses the versatility one with the new build.

Marks and SV use the crit one.

Or you can go to droptimizer and click the plus sign on the belt to change whatever belt ability you want and then it will add it to your equipment list and will sin both or however many you do.

Ah they must’ve added that. This weekend it had a yellow box saying that other junk lol

Could just be some sort of projection maybe? I’m not sure we’re still talking about the game.

Raidbots itself advises against using stat weights.

I think they were talking about the stat weights sim. Personally at 680 my mm hunter also values every secondary over main stat but you’re just looking at a 1 for 1 measurement at that point.

Meaning 1 point of crit is worth 66.7 dps where as 1 point of agi is worth 42.5 per point.

It’s an imperfect view which is why raidbots prefaces this when you run stat weights. essentially those numbers will also change based on the sum of all your gear so that’s why it’s not as good a metric

Well, I put a gem on mine from the 6 tokens you get from the vault vender? like it says we can… and mine is stuck at 691 and I can no longer upgrade it. so, beware people.

Oh snap. Like a second gem? And now you can’t upgrade the belt?

Yeah I think they updated it. I was running sims last night.

Finally got my tiny pal form vault

Congrats. Used my last dinar for the bow off coc. It’ll have to do :joy:

Some classes prefer secondary stats over main stat.

A gem or a gem slot?

Armory shows only 1 gem but that’s what I want to know lol

Thank you.

Used my last one for mythic pace maker.

It’s a solid weapon. Tiny pal is only a 1.8% increase as MM and like a .8% increase as BM over it due to the caltrip effect.
