So i just upgraded my belt for this week, and ran it through the simulator. My main is an elemental shaman, and intellect is my least desired stat (weird i know) and the new belt is a 200k dps loss even with the upgrade and using the correct effect, this sucks anyone else running into this? All I run is Mythic plus, is it just an m+ thing? Any imput? And if all that is accurate, that really sucks for the “cool new item” to be dog crap, and yes i double checked to make sure I did all of the sim correctly.
What belt did it replace?
684 ilvl Maniacal Monarch’s girdle, with a socket and a crit/mastery gem in it.
Did you set the effect to Static Charge? Supposedly that’s the best. Did you try the haste or mastery procs?
Not sure otherwise. I’ve always thought Intel was elemental’s best star but I may be wrong.
Wouldn’t surprise me if the new belt is just bad.

Have you compared a few runs real world? All the top shaman are running it in keys, so it’s gotta be your SIM not simming.
I wondered that my self, i have done runs with it, and on Charged bolts, it ads an average of 2.7% dps

i have not tried static charge, i have tried a few others, and Int is actually my worst stat. Mastery>Crit>vers>haste>int
Not sure why they can’t just put secondaries on the bloody things. It would make them actually useful after all the worthwhile traits inevitably get nuked.

Honestly I don’t think I can be bothered to use it on this DK because I don’t want to pay or make a gem for it whether or not it is an upgrade or not. I’m literally not doing anything besides coasting until next patch anyway and I imagine the belt is going to be useless or nerfed once that content goes live and if it ends up being “needed”, I’ll just use it then.
Way too little and way too late. These influx of power things are cool things to do in a season but need to come online earlier. Like ideally once anything remotely competitive like the HOF is done then just open the floodgates.

You’re really going to have to elaborate on this. I don’t play Ele shaman but I was unaware of any specs where your main stat is least priority.

I ran my stat weights on raidbots. int came in last,
That’s what I figured. Did you happen to miss the giant yellow box that says
Raidbots strongly advises against using stat weights - they are an outdated tool and often result in sub-optimal results. Using direct sims of actual gear (like Top Gear and Droptimizer) is a vastly better approach.

I did not miss that, but the stat weights mixed with the actual sim saying the belt is lower dps… confuses me
The secondary stats on your 684, for now, are giving a slight edge. As you upgrade the DISC belt further, the intellect gain will contribute to more dps than the secondary stats.

ya i figured that, I am getting closed to maxed on my gear, so the belt gaining ilvl will take it over that much i know, currently 682 ilvl
