Yup, get your belt and siren ring and a fresh 80 can start blowing through bountiful 11 for gear and crests. Catch up to a decent gear pretty quickly

So you shouldnât be able to add a buckle to the belt because it comes with a free gem slot.
Thatâs what i assumed but didnât try it. Thought about it tho lol
I did too but I ended using my vault tokens for valor stones.
I had 12 tokens and thatâs the max you can have.
Had to get tiny pal to 8/8 and pacemaker to 8/8 before raid.

I have the belt but not even looked/equipped it yet.
How does one âset the effectâ?
I am on travel so wonât be able to look at it until this weekend but just curious.
Once itâs equipped just right click the belt and the options will pop up.
You get one for free and the rest you have to run a specific delve for a drop from the last bounty boxes
Oh I donât disagree with any of that; the exercise was just show how you can do it and is less about being viable and just being able to do a small gut check. Itâs low on the totem pole for verification. When you consider the OP said raidbots says the belt is a 200k DPS loss thereâs really no way to mathematically come to that conclusion (beyond using a bad belt power) when you math out the beltâs static stat value powers and compare it to any belt 684 or lower; it just doesnât pass the sniff test.
Stat calc comparisons like these are kind of a dead art (and for good reason), but itâs a fun exercise I like to perform sometimes when Iâm comparing trinkets after I run sims.

Yeah, I put a socket on it from the vault vender which says we can add to belts, hoods and wrists? I think?.. and added a gem, I tried taking the gem off yesterday to upgrade the belt and I still couldnât, I donât know how to remove the socket? any ideas?.. unless if I do a ticket?.. shrugs⌠or my belt is just stuck at 691 item level.

Donât sim stat weights - they mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. It just gives you information of what stat might be good at the time of the sim and with current gear. The moment you change your gear the weights change, etc.
Using top gear is the best way to find the best item from what you have overall.
Also consult the shaman disc for best ability for the belt.
Remember charged bolt was nerfed so it isnât the best one for most classes anymore.
I wish they hadnât let the new belt be socketed or put a warning on itâŚI keep sockets on all and any gear that can have one⌠so really disappointed that my belt is no longer upgradable. maybe they will hotfix it, but to others just be warned.

Sounds like a bug. You should be able to click the upgrade item and just click on the belt.
I would open a ticket.
I heard of the Belt long time ago. So when i was upgrading from M+ vault, i made sure of upgrading other slots⌠not the Belt. I ended up with ilevel 671 Belt before 11.1.7. Now this 671 Belt vs 694 Crit buff belt, itâs hand down 694 Crit buff belt would win even without Simming.
Donât use it. Simple. It isnât like the belt is a key to enter something, like that dang panda cloak.
Nah itâs just a side effect of a cantrip only item that does not have secondary stats, itâs almost always a pure DPS loss and it only good as an upgrade for things like healing or tank effects, and even than itâs not always a true upgrade, it just looks good on paper.
IMO, the new belt is broken since Engineers canât put their nitro feet on it

You added a socket to the belt or a gem? Iâm confused as to what you did, since you mention both.
That was my ret pally in WoTLK. Leather gear for the AP, hit, expertise and armor pen. Then plate and a spell power sword for tanking. I miss my dominatrix pally.
