New Belt is a dps decrease

He somehow simmed without any belt effect active. I’m genuinely not sure how. So it was putting a 684 belt with secondary stats over the 691 with just 1 gem worth of secondary stats, which is obviously going to happen.

Ironically, if he decides to regem or not is what decides which belt effect he should use. Lol.

But Akston, I thought that would take hours?

remember how long shadow prioritized haste over absolutely anything else, including intellect?

Thats always going to be 100% better.

Not everyone has Raidbots premium, so running those sims would take hours as you’d have to do them in groups, then eliminate the worst, repeat until you find the best.

With a high enough premium you can do it all in one go, which I assume Akston has.

We’ve hit the point of having so much primary stat that its value is starting to fall off.

Int was my best in S1, but now at 684, it’s my worst.

Looking on my ~660 alt, int is in the middle of the secondaries.

I don’t pay a sub there, so I have to wait in line for my sims at raidbots.

That can be an hour on busy days when theres 4,000+ people ahead of me.

also, why are you only posting to insult and ridicule other players?

Raidbots says the stat weights section is out of date and not to be used.

If you’re doing it completely from scratch maybe. You get up to 64 combinations per sim. Checking a few different gems in a new piece of gear is not going to cross that threshold.

I don’t pay for it either, and no it doesn’t take an hour to get through it. Takes 10 minutes at most even with thousands of people in line. I do it darn near every Tuesday for vault items, which is peak raidbots day.

I’m not. But when you’re saying stupid things, it makes it easy to ridicule you.

thank you, yes, I use the stas sim to find out what stats I need for crafts in addition to gems.

I’ve already hit DR on mastery and haste. I do gain still get a DPS increase for haste, but not as much as crit. I don’t have much vers anyway, so won’t matter much unless I start recrafting everything to balance out my gear for DR caps.

Not going to bother with that really. I’m close enough to right for my playstyle

Hitting DR isnt really a bad thing.

Depends on the spec/class and what stats you have.

This is my stat weight, I don’t use it, I just ran it to show you. Despite having 48% crit, Crit is still my best stat by a rather large margin, and Agility is my lowest wanted stat.

(Simmed patchwerk cause I’m lazy)

yep, means I need less of it, or none of it

during remix we actually could hit DR ceilings not just caps

we all ended up with all vers gems

The entire sim is irrelevant and should not be used.

I wish they’d just delete the entire link.

do you have more info on that? i’m really curious. the text on the website doesn’t say that, it says it’s outdated and there are better tools available.

i 100% agree with running a real sim, but i don’t see anything to suggest the ‘stat weight’ sim is completely useless or that it’s just making up numbers or anything like that.

Yes, I’m aware. As I said “I do not use it.” Lol.

The belief that primary stat always outweights secondaries is outdated as well and people gotta learn if they’re at the point of simming, it’s something you need to take into account.

If they say its outdated and inaccurate. and to use something else…

What is the benefit of using it?

You cant trust the numbers.

it doesn’t say that either.

So how does one determine what stas they need for a crafted piece without knowing what stats they need?

Just run sims of all the stat combos?
