All PvP should scale everyone’s gear to that season currents max ilvl.
If that makes Asmongolds of the world mad, then do it for rated only.

It’s fine tbh, can just go play another game, and if the debuff doesn’t run out while people are logged they might just never come back. PvP is already dead, so making it more deaderer really won’t affect anyone. IMO smarter to figure out why people ditch PvP (probably trash MMR, premades, terrible balancing, delayed queues, unfilled teams etc) rather than build new punishment systems. IDC though, PvP is trash, always will be, this just reinforces my hatred of PvP

They could figure out why certain BGs are so hated and fix them. That would take PvP devs who know what they are doing and are permitted to make such decisions, though.
Fine with me except for when you get a deserter debuff for something that’s not your fault.
OP just mentions PvP, but if this is for PvE too there’s been a few times were I got the debuff through no fault of my own (in other words, not intentionally leaving). Just recently in Remix I found out you get the debuff if you’re kicked from a group. I got into a scenario in Remix and within a minute was kicked for no reason. I didn’t say anything. I didn’t do anything other than what you’re supposed to do in the scenario and, boom, kicked, and stuck with a debuff for half an hour.
I just switched to another alt (after complaining about it on the forums), but does this mean if we get booted for no good reason we’re locked out of group content on all alts? Because that sucks and will be abused for griefing / harassment.

I think this is a really bad change. even though it is only for rated.
As I’ve said before there are many… many reasons people leave and you should at least make an attempt to address them before making another system that punishes leaving.
That and if you remove the ability to leave you’ll just increase the amount of people who just straight up afk which is arguably worse.
it should stack account wide and be for all pvp imo. This wont stop q syncers from droppin ques in epics etc . Which is more so what most were hoping for . Its a start but needs work imo .

This doesn’t effect them at all.
It isn’t incurred from dropping ques its from leaving games once you get put against one. But it wont matter cause its not in epics its only for bg blitz and solo shuffle.
I would like one of those in the trading post - preferably pink with little sparkles.

im saying that dropping ques ( example : group of 5 premade leads goes in to check and then tells rest group to drop q … that itll give deserter account wide to everyone in the group. Because he went into the match . ) if that wouldnt work out then id suggest a limit of how many times in a group u can all decline a q , either that or force group to load in and join and dont give ppl an option to decline q .

So over on that wowhead article I noticed down in the comments section the crybaby/sour grapes crowd are already “calling” for Blizz to apply/implement a similar debuff to M+ on the PvE side of things…

I love this change.
Too many wimp out at the first sign of adversity.
Don’t play endgame content if you’re just gonna drop group, simple as.
If the heat is too hot, stay out of the kitchen, etc.
… and that flowing scrap of fabric waving from the top.
