New Account Restrictions?!?!?! This can't be serious?

The thing is, if the system starts making “obvious” exceptions then that’s another avenue the bad eggs can use to circumvent it

It probably should give some kind of message before you sub that you’ll have these restrictions. I’m assuming it doesn’t?

During the last 3 days in game I’ve witnessed hundreds of people complaining about these issues, and so far it appears another 100 of you have come to voice your concerns on the forums. Total affected users is likely in the 10s of thousands. The fact stands that Blizzard does not care about us returning players / new players that are having our experience ruined.

Oof, I was watching someone on Twitch for that OnlyFangs guild event (tons of streamers, each race in the guild is competing on HC) and they got traded a bunch of guild loot from the event organizer to distribute to the rest of their race and the poor guy (who is new to the game trying to figure stuff out) can’t trade any of this gear to his team and isn’t high enough level to even equip it yet.

Okay, I’m confused about this. Why are people creating whole new accounts to play the classic anniversary realms? I’ve seen a ton of “returning” players complaining about this, and I am also a returning player but I haven’t had any account restrictions at all.

Is this something that only happens to fresh accounts? Or is there an amount of time since your last login that triggers it as well? I stopped playing when Dragonflight came out, but renewed my account and came back during the 30th anniversary live stream when they announced classic anniversary realms, and I don’t have any restrictions.

Did I just luck out and it’s only for accounts that haven’t had an active subscription for like 3 years and I happen to be within that grace period?

Futbuk has literrally camped this thread the whole weekend…talk about crying and whining, so obnoxious…we get it, you’re mad about the account restrictions…you’re also obssessed and can’t get over it and that’s not healthy, you shoud go distract yourself on something else.

What…
You went from 100 posts, to 10k+ people.
What kind of logic is this…

You know when a thread has 100 posts that doesn’t mean that there are 100 unique posters all saying the same thing right?

Not just this thread, this entire classic forum. He keeps posting the same thing over and over saying he’s gonna quit for the rest of his life. It’s unhealthy.

I applaud Futbuk in his efforts to bring awareness to this issue and I wish him success in his battle against these donkeys and Blizzard. All of you donkeys that lack basic comprehension skills are the reason why everything is the way it is today.

What you’re seeing is people creating new accouts to use the bot they paid for on their second PC that sits behind a VPN so it doesn’t get traced back to their main.

These people are mad that blizzard is making it harder for them to bot, so they make posts in bad faith on the forums acting like they are just an innocent new player.

A lot of the posts asking for guild banks are the same people. Because guild banks a very popular method for transferring botted gold between accounts. The bot gets banned, the gold stays in the guild bank.

No what you’re seeing is returning players that haven’t paid for subscription in that last 7 years or new players, NOT BOTS. You donkeys are horrendous, and lack very basic comprehension skills.

Because they want to multi-box, or something even shadier.

That’s not to say I don’t think this policy is stupid, because it is. Bots will always find a way. But all these posts about ‘I got my friends to try Fresh, and this restriction made them quit’ are almost all just nonsense. People just can’t be honest.

I’m multi-boxing right now. Literally just greeted Michael Garrett for the first time.

I am not on a new or returning account so these restrictions doesn’t personally affect me, with that out of the way:

I get that this is to try and curb botters, sadly I’ve already seen advertisement for gold and boosting in game on the new servers (ofc I right click reported that :poop:), which tells me botters and gold sellers find their ways. For those of you are saying that the reports of people saying they got their friends to try etc is all lies, I have come across some newbies who was super confused why they couldn’t trade. I don’t think this heavy handed solution is the solution for curbing botters. The root of the problem is that people buy gold, so perhaps if instead of suspensions its perma ban for buying gold that might actually do something.

Because they want to multi-box, or something even shadier? Bro new players and returning players that haven’t paid in 7 years just want to able to trade and use the auction house. Why are you coming to this thread to troll?

Because people lie and make up things all the time on the forum.

And I love how you conveniently ignore the fact I agreed the policy is stupid.

If you had any reading comprehension ability Zaalg you would have come to realize how many real players this is currently affecting. Just browse the forums or read in game chat. You donkeys that are trying to hijack the thread saying it’s just bots / gold sellers, will be reported for trolling.

Nice try Futbuk but changing to an alt only makes you seem more unhinged, not less

Keep insulting people and calling them donkeys and whatever nonsense you can come up with. That’ll really enhance your argument. :+1:

I am not arguing with you donkeys. I am bringing awareness to an issue thousands of players are currently experiencing. You donkeys that are coming here claiming it’s gold sellers / bots / futbuks alts are trolling the point of this thread and will be reported.

I guess looking more unhinged is your goal…
