No, but taurenplayers don’t keep saying that it was illegal to take land from them, and say that all land is X-country/Taurenland/trollland.
It is illegal if you tresspass into someone’s teritory and then try to take it from them by force. If you use such a standarts then nobody should be upset for being outright invaded.
Similar enough to how Mogu Watchers are dissimilar from Mogu. And as I said, alterations happen, such as Humans from Vrykul and Night Elves from Trolls.

I say the trolls have brought about their own demise, the Amani trolls. Just as the night elves led their own empire to its demise, just as Zandalar sank into insignificance for a long time, and and and. The races usually do it to themselves, out of pride, hate, wrong decisions.
Exceptions were made only recently, when a whole war was started WITHOUT any form of provocation, but we know why.

I was saying that modern trolls, due to having grown more intelligent than their ancestors, are now on-par with night elves. Not superior.
This is just a fact from the lore. The enchantments of the Amani were so sophisticated the Highborne who would become high elves stole and reverse engineered them as they couldn’t directly compete.
This is a standard fantasy trope and it explains who elves, who live for thousands of years, can be matched by humans and other races with only 20-30 years of experience.

Yes, no argue from that, but on Azeroth Mogu were the first, which is quite interesting as they’re the only race coming from curse of flesh affected constructs which had a knowledge of Arcane, Tol’vir and Vrykul didn’t posses after they became being of flesh.

I disagree, Trolls didn’t take entire planet for themselves, they could co-exist with others. And we have many examples of that. It’s the nelves who started the conquest because they had the power for that, and they were on path of eradicating other species because they were “unpure” in their eyes.
I don’t see a trolls fault in there.

Trolls attacked the Night Elves first. Trolls made the Yaungol move away from their lands. Trolls attacked the Humans first. We almost have no examples of the Trolls being attacked first.
The trolls immediately started war with an overpowering enemy instead of seeking diplomatic ways, yes…it’s pride that blinded them. After all, Azshara gave them an ultimatum because they made that mistake, no other race did so…and they were left alone and allowed to continue living in their places of residence…although that residence was within the borders of the empire. only trolls were not allowed anymore to do so, because the war.
It was not retconned. Just becuase elves has a very long history of enchanting doesn’t mean that trolls didn’t have it too. Besides Highborne enchanting could’ve been affected by Well of Eternity powers, so once they lost this big power boost their enchantments lots their power accordingly. At least this is my theory.
I don’t recall Vrykul using it once. Tol’vir also weren’t shown to use them as far as I recall. Maybe the ones that are still in stone form.

Read the entire discussion, Amadis. The premise I was working from was that night elves were indeed “elevated trolls”. They hadn’t changed since the point of becoming elevated trolls but in that time trolls caught up to the now elevated night elves in intelligence.
Now can you please stop this? Twisting my words the way you’re doing is really ticking me off.

Elves didn’t try diplomacy with trolls themsleves. They went on conquest right away.
Also I highly doubt that even if Trolls would send emissary who would told them in diplomatic way to “turn around and get out of our lands” elves would respect such wishes. Because elves had other options to settle down, they wanted a zone that had best leylines set up.
No, but the night elves ruled…and let all races live in it, Azshara wasn’t interested in conquest…she didn’t even begin to use all the land that belonged to the empire. She simply wanted to rule… she didn’t even make rules for other races… except for the trolls that waged war.
Once again, it was the Trolls that attacked the Night Elves. And Azshara in fact did use diplomacy in the end, as per Chronicle: Volume I, Page 97:
- Only the openly hostile troll nations drew the full attention of the elves. Small, sporadic battles ignited between the two sides. On every occasion, the trolls buckled before the devastating magic wielded by the night elves. Azshara, however, was not interested in conquest. In her eyes, the trolls were a minor nuisance, their battle lust a symptom of primitive and unenlightened minds. Ultimately, the queen struck an accord with the Zandalari tribe, which held immense influence over all other trolls. In exchange for ending troll incursions into night elf territory, the Zandalari would be allowed - by Azshara's grace - to keep the sacred Zandalar mountains south of the Well of Eternity.
They had to conquest those territories as Tauren and vrykul were absorbed into their Empire, they also had to go to war with troll empires to get such a big chunks of their land. Trolls which were described to be content with their territories and not expanding further than they already got. Nelves COULD live alongside of them but chose not to.
