Nerf starsurge! this is a joke!

People believe because moonkin form was mediocre that it means the entire tree was mediocre. Plenty of high value and balance druids are capable of doing great damage. Getting locked out of resto spells so you have 3% extra crit is just not great in most circumstances, true. It’s already at odds with the wrath rune (a balance spell) because no ones dropping form to pop healing touch and then going back into form again. Very expensive. Mana sustain is an issue too.

What if moonkin aura instead made damaging spell crits refund part of their mana cost and they opened up resto spells while in form?

So if we make it garbage in PVP but the best thing druids have ever had in PVE you won’t care? Got it.

The hunters are looking over at druids excitedly to see if they are going to have a new friend to sit in the corner with.

I honestly do not know what you mean by this.

this legit is going to lead to another hunter nerf

Except that’s not what will happen. It will be ignored because they specifically DON’T care about PvP at all. Also, weird crying about Starsurge when 2 mages can wipe an entire raid with living bomb/flame.

They also can abuse fingers of frost with shatter next phase to make all of their living bombs crit as well!

the trade off is balance sucks in pve so it’s fair : - )

See you had ulterior motives the entire time, why else would you be here, just to sit around and pretend you don’t care?

Ask hunters how that is working out, or heck even regeneration + arcane explosion mages.

Ridiculous comparison but nerf that if it needs to be nerfed, I’m not scared. Nerf mages if they abuse raid pvp. nerf mages, nerf mages, nerf mages.

It’s a very fun mechanic.

To watch terrible players cry over level 25 PvP.

Most of the hunter nerfs were for PvE outside of the scorpion debacle, the regen, arcane explosion was also PvE focused.

Not at all.

Well, I mean, the tree is really bad. This isn’t really even just my opinion, it’s math. The balance tree provides range, cast time reductions for Starfire and Wrath, pushback reduction for roots only, 10% dmg and crit on the direct damage portion of two DoTs, 10% base damage on spells that deal 30% less base damage than Fireball and Scorch, 3% crit, and 100% crit damage. Vengeance is good, but because balance bases are so low and Moonfury only affects base damage, given equal spell power, a Starfire crit still almost always deals less damage than a Fireball crit because the base damage values are that much lower. Like, if a Fireball hits for 1000 and a Starfire hits for 700, the Fireball will crit for 1500 and the Starfire will crit for 1400. And the Starfire crit didn’t apply ignite, either.

Balance doesn’t provide penetration, hit chance, only provides 3% crit for self, doesn’t provide scaling damage increases, etc. And as you touched on, the few unique talents we have have major issues.

If it’s really oppressive for raid PVP maybe target limit of 4 or something is the play.

Stay mad druid main. Stay mad.

That’s a fair way to balance an ability that I have spammed for 5 digit numbers of damage in ashenvale, maybe make it worse for pvp and uncapped pve.

Guy malding over starsurge calling other people mad is delicious irony.

All these druids mains should come post from their classic druids they totally have. I’m sure they’re R5+ with TBC launch tabard and such since they played it so much

I’ve been maining Druid since mop and main it in wrath so a combined 16 something years of Druid play.

Not sure what you’re talking about.

Sorry, I was implying you’re probably a rerolled scrub.

Well I’m not so I guess you can sit down.

Ha, I was going to do you one better and post on my original vanilla Druid on Medivh that I started in 2004 and quit playing after TBC but it’s been so long since I logged into it that I can’t post on it on the forums yet.

I just logged into the character though it’s a trip. He’s still wearing PvP gear from like season 2 BC.

Sad I didn’t pick up my Druid till mop as a main but didn’t like being a healbot. Much more tolerable today healing in retail but would much rather kill people as boomchicken

Do it, sounds dope.

My rebuttal to that.

Sod hunters.

Essentially every nerf outside of the explosive shot change hunters have gotten was because of pvp.

So the real solution to this starsurge issue, by blizzard logic, is to nerf hunters.

No it wasn’t. The only hunter change that was strictly pvp focused was the nerf to scorpid scaling/cobra strikes. Everything else was because of pve.
